we dont have very much 15mm scenery we can use, and no river (i think) so will be limited on what we can roll up

True. We have some buildings, and I've got roads if people want to use them. Otherwise it's hills and woods, both of which we have plenty of.
If people want they can get a neutral party to set up the scenery for a game. There'll usually be someone down who plays FoW but is not playing in that particular league game.

Stephen
How many players did we end up with in the league? Is it the six on page 2 of this post plus Dave Austen?
I noticed on Tuesday we are a bit short on some terrain such as hedges and embankments at the club.
Is there funds or a plan to buy any?
Cheers Alex

I'm trying my hand at building a few bocage type hedgerows. Will bring some samples down on Tuesday if they turn out ok.
Cheers

Tuesday - A couple of points came up and just wanted to check what the outcome was. win=4, draw=2, loss=1 with victory points calculated as well to separate any draws. Is the number of turns fixed? Carl and I had our warhammer heads on and played to 6 turns, altough we could have done lots more? Originally 6/8 was suggested or are we going for as many as you can fit in the time?

I have to admit I thought that initial mission had a 6 turn limit on it.
I don't think it really makes much of a difference really, we can play to a six turn limit if that's what everyone is happy with?

We both had reasonably small forces so could have played it out to a finish. It would give more wins as armies would have time to exploit earlier success, but is that fair on larger armies? As always I'm happy to go with the majority, but I'd personally prefer to play as many turns as possible. Could I suggest that games should have a minimum of 6 to qualify and maximum of as many as you can start before 10:15 ish. This might be selfish, but at 6 turns, I'll only get to fire 48 shells in a whole game if I move. Thoughts?

There is no turn limit to the Free for All scenario in the rule book. I like Andy's idea of a time that the last turn has to start by. I think 10.15pm is as good a time as any.

Andy; if you want we can play ours again and just continue to a finish, and scrap last nights result and start again.
what you think mate, and would anyone else have any objections to that if we did?

I wonder if putting a turn limit on it may encourage people to play for a draw.
I would prefer to have it that no new turns start after 10:15.
Cheers Alex
Given that Carl and Andy's game was between two German forces, the Poles don't want to see any of them win! ;D

Carl, I'm happy with the result as it stands, unless you want to replay. I only wanted to clarify for the future, as it did seem odd stopping at 9pm.

i'm ok with it if you are, just put that thought out there incase you wanted to try again and play for to a finish. will leave as is and put down to experience.
