Gawd.....so are you following the rules for assembling the 600 point forces with no deviations?
Presume so. Shame its not Mid-War cos my LRDG is dead keen to get out and give the Hun a beasting!!!
Whats the Axis/Allied split? All fronts?
Scenery...what do you need?
Alarm call.....deffo!!

Hi Nobby, What we have said on the force is : it has to be legal in terms of being from a book or pdf, you only need to take 1 combat platoon (instead of 2) and your weapons & support choices must be legal. Other than that anything goes! Any axis/allied/minor force is allowed -western & eastern front. Scenery - well we are going to play on 4 x4 boards.....soooo.......those 4 x 4 city boards sure would look lovely!!! Alarm call booked! Cheers Roddy

If you need them I can bring my Normandy houses? I've worked at this and I can get a completely legal force with the correct number of combat platoons (not just 1) and support ;D It'll be fun to play with and I'm guessing against too. More bases and platoons than my 1500pt league "panther" list Can you guess what it is Andy

I've also got a small number of buildings, plus a large amount of roads (of the same type as the ones the club owns).
I've tried to work out a list for my Germans, and the best I can do at 600 is one combat platoon, with a single support platoon.

Stephen - are you going with armour? Sounds like it with your points problem. If you need any German infantry I have 2 Pz Grenadier / Grenadier platoons and a Pioneer platoon with trucks / half tracks if you want to borrow any?
I think I will revert back to my trusty GI infantry - I can get quite a bit in for 600 points!!
On that subject if anyone needs to borrow a force for the comp, post here and we will try and get you fitted out with 600 point force. I can probably loan a couple of German forces and a US one.
Cheers

Oh I'm going to be playing Russians, not Germans. Just thought it'd be amusing to try and work out what I'd get for 600 playing a Panzer Company. The answer being not a lot. Basically 5 Panzer IV's and a single 88.

Ok Can we have a little headcount on who is definetely playing this Sat?
So far definates that I am aware of : Me, Alex, Stuart, Andy, Stephen, Michael, Edmund, James.
Possibles : Nobby (I am awaiting a confirmation) the lads from Bedford - any more I have missed?
We really need an even number otherwise people will have to sit out games. Andy are you still good for those Normandy houses?
Cheers

This sounds as if you all had a great time. Pity I don't play it or have an army to do so. Roddy if you wanted a table I will send you the template and instructions that Liam kindly gave me last year to deal with the teccy stuff which I wasn't clued up on back then. Just adjust like I have for various columns. Look in your email.

well done Roddy, another successful Phoenix event by the sound of it.
Perhaps instead / as well as a one dayer, you could run a campaign similar to the league last year.
would be up for that.

Thanks Warren - If you ever fancy a game let me know I can lend you an army and give you a run through on the rules.
Carl - yes perhaps the Firestorm campaign would work better as an on going league type affair - people wouldnt neccessarily have to commit to a set number of games but we could still track their win /loss ratios etc.
Cheers
