This was great last year and we got a team together for this and I think we finished second. The date is June 5th which is a Sunday. It will be at Norman Cross HQ in Yaxley so think of how you would get there early on a Sunday morning. By car obviously or cadging a lift. We have been asked to give a list of games that we play and would have some people available on this days. So far I can safely say that we have people that do the following: WFB, 40K, WAB2, FoW. Justin has been asking about LoTR, Warmachine and other games. I have had one game of warmachine with Darrell - thoroughly enjoyed it but really don't have the spondoolies to fork out for an army . So if anyone is up for that let me know. The following is a list of systems and the people that would be comfortable playing these on the 5th June. Just reply with which two you could be able to compete in and I can gauge which would be our strongest side. You would be only competing in one of them so its best to have the second choice just in case. WFB : Warren Stevens, Julie Stevens, Darrell Lee 40K: Julie Stevens, Ben "Diesel" Harris, Davinder Purewal, Darrell Lee WAB2: Warren Stevens, Simon Robinson, Carl King FoW (Late War): Andy Miller LoTR: Warmachine: Ben "Diesel" Harris Hordes: Magic the Gathering: Stephen Mawson BloodBowl: Stephen Mawson Gothic: Malifaux: That's Julie and myself done now ready for you guys - be quick as there isn't a lot of time to prepare !!

Big list of stuff here that I play. Warhammer, 40K and FoW of course, but I also play Warmachine, Magic and also Bloodbowl. I don't have much Warmachine stuff however, so it depends on the points level they are interested in as to whether that's feasible for me.
Given our other players I'd suggest you put me down for one of the less well played systems. I'd personally prefer either Bloodbowl or Magic as I don't really know Warmachine all that well.

Happy to muck in if you'll have me.
My main system is 40K and I've got 15 tournament wins to my name in the past. I've been out of the loop for a while but getting back in - I wouldn't say I've hit my old heights yet but I'm still unbeaten in Kettering and practice against guys who are at the top of the UK rankings.
You can judge my Fantasy when we play next week.
I'm getting into Warmachine and I'm willing to bet I could play a mean game by June. Play every week at Wargames Workshop and have entered a couple of tournaments to get my eye in.

Ok Ben I'll put you in for 40K and Warmachine as I doubt we have any other warmachine guys around at the mo with models. It would probably mean that you would actually play this for us.... if you're ok with that?

WAB2 for me, no 2nd choice as I don't play any of the other systems
Do we know what period / size etc the WAB2 is?

No not yet Simon but it will give them an idea if we put down certain armies next to our name. Put you down as Vikings then?

Yes - I can do Norse or Saxon (maybe Norman) so Dark Ages are best for me.
Of course as it's an inter club comp - if needed I could always use the clubs Romans / Celts if that's the way of things, but I know Dark Age armies / tactic better so would prefer that era

Happy to give some feedback on lists and details of current tournament nightmares should the 40K player need it.

@carl :Ok put you down. ben: Ok great - that's the warmachine slot catered for... however all of this is not final as yet as the NCC will advise on which games they will be doing. It may turn out that the other clubs involved may not do a particular system and wouldn't have someone on this. If that's the case they wouldn't do it or they would ask for a fill in player or ringer.

Patience is a virtue! Just in - some good news, Justin (aka Stunties on this board) from Norman Cross Crusaders has just confirmed that he has booked the downstairs at their HQ and this will be a little cooler than last year's upstairs and less cramped . I hope they do all that scrummy bacon or sausage batches like they did last year - that was special .

Still a few people to register interest from the Phoenix Gaming club and we still have to wait until next week to see what NCC will do systems-wise.
