James, that sounds great! Put us down for the 20th spot.
James PM me with options, and we'll start planning the our victories over these puny mortals....

Wow... this tournament pack seems fairly radical to the last one?

As it has been the best part of two months since anybody has written anything on this, and just to keep name on the surfing airways, i'd thought I'd give some updates.
Some of us at the club will be playing an Open day round robin doubles competition to feel out the rules. We will be using a 1000pts each player and want to see how that goes. The Rushden Rumble has 800pts each per player. So we are just going to see how the extra 200pts per player affects the game and especially the timings.
All players please note that you have put your names on the "wanna go" Rushden Rumble 2011 list. There are a number of payments we have to make to make this happen, hiring of the venue, trophies, refreshments, etc... With the utmost respect could we have all payments in by the 28th of February 2011. If payment has not been received by then I will take it that you are no longer interested and you will be removed from the list. I have three teams on a non-posted reserve list that are wanting to take part so far and I will give one of them your spot from there. So there you have it. If people want to come down on the Saturday 27th November for a mini doubles tournament for fantasy just grab 1000pts each per partner and follow the rules for the Rumble pack. There will be a £3 or £4 charge depending on how many turn up as its all day from 10.00 - 5.00pm

Ok just a few more weeks before we need the entrance fee for this. I will start ordering the trophies at the end of the month to ensure we get them done on time.
If you haven't paid just yet please either send as a Paypal payment marked as gift to the email address in the rulespack or if you are a Phoenix member you can pay on the Tuesday club nights. Cheques are also welcome - see details in the rulespack. If you have any queries please let me know as soon as possible. We do expect all lists to us at least two weeks before the tournament as last time we found some glaring mistakes in people's lists. This made the organisation it a little harder but by no means impossible. We would just like to concentrate on the games on the day rather than chasing up people to correct their lists. There will be small spot prizes on day for completing certain tasks etc.
Apart from this everything is going to plan and we hope to see you all ... very soon!

Great news Justin - in fact there have been 2 teams that could not make it because of the change of date so if you want those extra places let me know before someone else grabs them.

Just an update - see amendments to the opening first message above. Stephen is there anyway to change the date on the rulespack or should we just leave as is?

Hi Warren - you need to remove me and Keiron as he can not make it now. This date change has really stuffed things up for the rumble it seems - can we fill it???
Paul I'll speak to you when we play in the SFS but you can borrow my dwarves now if you like.

@ James What about Chris? Does he want to come down at all? We have still good numbers with a lot of other interested parties. There is still time, last time we had three more teams added in the last week.
