Not to be a stick in the mud but there is just one week to go and we still haven't had payment from 11 people. We do need payment as quickly as possible. The majority are from the Phoenix club so could people pay this Tuesday please (club night) as we do have overheads such as paying for the hiring of the Scout Hall and the trophies and medals. Thank you.

As half of the entrants to the WAB tournament are Phoenix players, the first round games will be a Phoenix player vs non-Phoenix players after this we will employ the Swiss method. So Phoenix players may play each other in later rounds as may other like-club members.
I am looking to draw for the first round this Tuesday evening so it can be put up on the website / forum on Wednesday. Watch this space on Wednesday!

I've had an enquiry about taking part in the FoW Tournament from another guy (Clive) from Peterborough, who Neil Hammond had mentioned that we'd had a drop out to.
Since I've not been able to get hold of Nobby to get him to confirm he's even coming, and since he hadn't paid or supplied an army list. I've moved Nobby to the reserve list, and put Clive into the tournament as he said he'd get an army list to me ASAP.

Don't you mean Nobby??? I've left him a message at the Northampton Warlords site but haven't had a reply back for a week- so I suppose this is ok.

Nobby you would be most welcome to come along - in fact if you wouldn't mind being a FoW rules judge on the day just in case, that would be fantastic. Still things do happen so you could be playing still if Roddy phones you.

Think it is going to be difficult for me to play so try to count me out!! It's a shame that you can't play - be good if you could drop by and give everyone a few rude words of encouragement

Round one for the WAB tournament - Pitched battle!
Table 1: Simon Robinson (Vikings) vs Colin Harwood (Samurai) Table 2: Gavin Baker (Imp Rome) vs Wayne Richards (Samurai) Table 3: Carl King (Ancient Greeks) vs Paul Griffin (Thracians) Table 4: Warren Stevens (Macedon)vs Martin Gibbins (Carthage) Table 5: Robert Walker (Imp Rome) vs Dave Ireland (Caledonians)
Now you can think a few tactics for round one at least. If anymore entrants come then we will fit you in accordingly at the end on table 6 etc..
