righto guys we need a volunteer to sort this out. check out the derby world wargames website for all the info you need to sort out accomodation etc.
have looked at a few sites and not many rooms left so best be quick.
i have enough to sort already so not able to do this but if someone doesn't step up to do this we may miss out as a club.
i am looking possibly going up on the friday and staying two nights. anyone else.

Ok first up there is a miss mash of people purpoting things that they would like to do - but nothing has actually come together. I suggested a team go up - its cheaper for the team I believe. I would also point out what people want to do about accomodation? Do they want to go on the Friday or do just Saturday night for accomodation? I am willing to do a bit of scouting about but I will need to know who wants in and how many days. Its either that or people find there own accomodation.
So I will ask who wants to go for the two nights (that will be expensive for me X2) and who wants just the Saturday night stopover? You have until Sunday to send me a commitment to go.
I fancy the WAB tournament if there is one - but if there isn't I will just do the fantasy tournament. Julie wants to do the fanatsy tournament and I believe Darrell said he wanted this too. Simon wants to do WAB and Carl mentioned he wanted to partake (love that word) in a bit of ECW. That is a team of five - I will check the status of teams and prices at the Derby site. Just let me know quickly as Carl says we have slim pickings for accomodation.

i think the 'team' thing and thereby cheaper entry price is ONLY for the 15mm FOG ancients tournie as thats the only one with the word team in the description.
i have contacted a couple of guest houses close by as i am looking to go up friday late afternoon and be there for saturday morning and have been quoted £30 for b&b each night (so £75), which when you add up against £55 to enter at GW plus £22 for the Grove Guest House in Nottingham its as broad as long for me to stay the extra night as the cheaper tournie ticket pays for the extra night, so would probably be the same for you and Julie.

I've filled in some of the excel sheet online and will print off for you to do the rest mate. saturday night should be a good night if we can find a friendly local - rather than go into Derby City Centre - I can watch all that stuff on the Police Action shows that they do at the dead of night on TV. Really not my cup of tea.

i also have the risk board game i could bring but card games are easier i suppose.
we'll see whats about when we are there.
