The other thread is becoming a little over crowded so I thought I would start another one here.
So if you have any questions please ask here instead.

Can a hero from one army join a unit of another army? E.g. A hero of Chaos joining a Swordsman unit?
And can they do this also as long as they meet specific points, e.g. a Welf hero with the Scout special rule can join a unit of Shadow Warriors who are Scouting?
Why are Demons + Dark Elves trusted allies, gaaaaaarrrr? (You should feel ashamed!!!!) >____>
How should I base my Welves?! Snow, leaves, snowy leaves or 'other'?
Can we impose a Dark Elves AGAIN?! bonus for all the teams having to face off against the legions upon legions of marching pointy eared gimps?

The rules document covers this one.
"Characters from one Force may join units in their partner’s Force. For Distrustful and Highly Distrustful Allies this will of course mean that both the character and the unit will take a Leadership penalty."
Everyone does snow (mainly because it's easy, and means you can avoid sticking all those fiddly leaves on the Dyrads). Why not some kind of wild meadow flower base scheme.

Ha ha ;D Dark Elf and Daemons really stems from the Slaneesh relationships as seen in the SOC book and if you read the beginning of the DE book there is a lot of daemonic references. Not nice - but that's the beauty of this tournie - Wife and myself may be playing Dark elf / dark Elf so watch out bark munchers as no bonus will be awarded if you have to face us ;D ;D

I know Beastmen ain't gonna be in the tourny but thought would drop this here. It appears we have our first 'major' FAQ question for Beastmen... www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4379408#post4379408Frankly, the answer is bloody obviously and it's just people being pedantic. Sometimes I wonder what the drive is for these types of people. Things like 'what's the base size of a Cygor' or 'How big is a Herdstone' make sense. They're easy to solve as well. But seriously - how can you look at that Ambush rule and even begin to think anything other than what it says?

i agree entirely that common sense has to prevail 1:1 ratio seems the only way to go, anyone trying to pursue the other interpretation should be branded a "NUMPTY". ;D What i do find interesting is that when discussing these quite ludicrous misinterpretations we forget that the powers that be at GW actually encourage these inconsistencies in order to keep the discussion going within the masses and keep the game alive.
Dont get me wrong im a big fan of discussion forums but you must approach each question slighly tongue in cheek, and sympathise with the hopeful author of these sily questions.

Just wondering, are you guys supplying all the terrain or will each team need to bring a peice with us?

We're supplying all the terrain. The Phoenix club has enough boards, hills, woods, buildings and so on to do 10 Warhammer Tables. I would suggest as with most tournaments that any Wood Elf players should be expected to supply their own 6" wood, but other than that no terrain needs to be brought with you.

Quick question - how do you want the army lists laid out?
This mainly focuses around items etc. cause I know some tournaments ask you to show your list to your opponent, some tell you to state which magic items are on who, some say you can put your magic items at the bottom so they're on your 'list' but not designated anyway.

Either in excel or word format only. No army builder lists as these can be confusing. You will need two copies of the actual list with all things listed - (one for you and one for the Tournament organisers for checking). You can also have an abridged version that has certain magic items or hidden fanatics not listed but the points must be there. I don't know if this actually helps out as its pretty obvious if fanatics are in a unit of NGs if you look at the points. This one could be given to your opponent if you so wished but its not essential.
Best policy is to introduce your army at the table without going into detail about magic items. You don't have to show a list to the opponent at the beginning of the battle but you certainly do if they ask for it at the end.

can the list that you show to the opponents just have the army total at the bottom but no individual costs for characters and heroes. that way no-one knows who has what, where and how.
dont want to show where our 14 assassins are, as this is a bit of a give away. (oops thats torn it)

The idea is that you don't have to show the list to the opponents - if the army is in front of you its pretty obvious what you have minus magic items and hidden units when you introduce it. There has never been a problem before with this method in the tournies that I've been to and I don't envisage one in this one. Of course a full list would be needed which you show at the end if requested. However if you so wish (a detailed in my last post) you can have an abridged version without hidden units and magic items and banners to show. As long as the tournament organisers have a copy of your forces as well - then we are all happy!

Just saw the beastman post above and quite frankly if we were allowing the new beastman list (which we are not) it would be 1:1 ratio. That's how I would read this. You always have someone trying to take advantage or bend the rules to suit or favour themselves
