There are several things I think are probably worth mentioning.
(1) Club Terrain.
Is there anything we don't have that club members think we ought to get? Or conversely is there stuff in the cupboard that is not being used and should perhaps be stored elsewhere, to make room for any new bits and bobs.
(2) Gamesday 2010.
Is the club intending to go? If so who's coming up with a scenario? I know it's a long way in advance, but with Kelmarsh to fit in as well it's probably best to start planning nice and early.
(3) All Day Saturdays.
We've had one every other month now for about a year. They have not been especially well attended, I think we're averaging about 8 members per day. Does the club want to continue doing this every other month? Or would we be better off not having a regular event, but instead looking to book Saturdays when people come up with ideas for big games or mini tournaments?
(4) Tables
Given the current attendance we probably could do with some additional tables. Now I know this is at least partially down to the Scouts own Committee. But since they don't seem to be inclined to purchase some additional tables is it worth our Committee looking into the costs of buying perhaps one or two pairs of tables similar to Carl's for storage on top of the cupboard.

Your first point about terrain - if there is any spare could the Ferrers school club please have some? If only to store it for you in a locked room - we are a bit light on terrain at the school. 2nd point Gamesday 2010 - I may have a scenario for that and I don't mind doing it as long as nothing gets pilthered again. 3rd point All day Saturdays are great I just feel that there has not been much advertising of this to a wider audience. I am sure this would be a welcome to the school lads at the Ferrers - especially the 40K boys who are going a bit nuts spending this Xmas. Have you thought of Sundays? I do agree with having specific scenarios for that day or mini-tournaments. The doubles 40k and fantasy we had last year went down very well. One every other month is still good its up to us to get something solid on paper for these days. 4th point Tables - couldn't agree more- the lack of tables is disappointing for some people that turn up a little late. This would also help a bundle for the Rushden Rumble. I really like Carl's tables but they are quite expensive but are quality and won't fall apart. That's my penny's worth!

In terms of tables I don't think it would be a problem spending £100+ on getting some more. The club currently has a decent amount of funds, and after all it's there to be spent.
Terrain wise we do actually have a few bits and bobs that are currently being stored at my house that the club isn't that likely to want to use. Maybe the committee should have a quick sort through what's up at the club prior to the AGM, to see if there are any things we might want to donate.

my views are;
terrain. give some to both Warren and james for their respective school clubs. after all they might as well use it. some of the stuff still in packets such as the 40k stuff could be sold via ebay perhaps. that way the mney could be put towards new tables.
gamesday; not a problem if we want to go, but we will hear in the next few weeks if we have got the co-op grant to put on our own event so if we get that we need to pencil that in as well and my thoughts were AFTER Kelmarsh as we have fantasy doubles etc before Kelmarsh and we could do our event september time??
all dayers; i think the suggestion that only run them when we have enough interest is good or maybe do them once every 3 months instead of every other month. after 2nd jan, we have the doubles tournie in march then we could wait until early June perhaps.
tables; could we get an answer asap from the scouts and if they are not going to buy them, i will look into some prices through my work etc and see what deal we can get four say 4 (?). perhaps we could use the rushden rumble money for this as well so we make no 'actual' profit thereby causing issues with that etc and we get benefit at the same time via more tables.

All good points. As for donating to my club a few pieces might be nice - thanks - but give Warren preference as I have a set of my own at home doing very little.
As for selling stuff that sounds like a good idea but what 40k stuff do we have unused? As a 40k player it might be nice to ditch some of the older stuff and bring in the new.
As for all dayers I cant make them due to family commitments but I think trying to make one or two about teaching and bringing on our younger members is a good idea - I would also try to support one of these if I can. A Sunday afternoon of gaming could also work at well for me especially between about 2 and 5.
As for tables what about pasting tables as a cheap option?

Pasting tables tend to fall to bits and bow in the middle after a little while - especially with my all metal 30 strong black orc unit on it ;D
I'm all for the Sunday games to give an opening to the kids.

As mainly a Flames of War player, my terrain 'wants list' would be some more roads, western European buildings and maybe fortifcations- trenches, minefields etc.
On the tables front - my partner runs a small gift business and she sometimes attends fairs etc and so has bought a lightweight but sturdy table - two of these would easly do a 6 x 4 table. I think she got it for around the £30 mark from Homebase. It is much sturdier than a pasting table and has cross supports. But it is also quite lightweight so would be good to take to Kelmarsh and other 'outside' events.
Cheers to all who came down to the Bowl last night. Hope you all had a good time - Kieron owes for the extended shoe hire!!!
Cheers

due to personal reasons david will not be able to stand for the ccommittee position so we are still in need of that brave person to step forward to help run our club

4 tables would cost just under £38 each plus vat.

Darrel,
What are the responsibilities/commitments of the Non-Titled commitee member?

4 tables would cost just under £38 each plus vat. Don't forget that VAT goes back up to 17.5% on January 1st. Yeah, it's just under £1 per table saving, but every penny helps (and I know how much I kick myself if I have to buy something after it's just gone up in price).

Darrell, I didn't quite make myself clear last night at the club. I'd read the Dave B wasn't standing any more and I just wanted to put my name forward if no one else wanted the position. I only wanted to put my bit back into the club as it seems to be thriving at the moment (lots of people in last night, including some new faces). I don't have a burning urge to take on the responsibility, it's just I didn't want to see it go unfilled and put spread more work between those on the committee. I'd be happy for Simon to take the roll. Andy
