am sending off an application this week of £575.00 as i think this would cover all our costs, i.e. £250 for the halls whch would leave £325 for everything else such as food and drink and maybe even some new t-shirts which could also be used at Kelmarsh next time.
dont want to ask for too much and not get it.

Good thing here would be to advertise a competition for the under 16's to design a flyer here and the winner obviuosly gets their picture or flyer to be the one we use for the event. Perhaps a little prize donated by the club would be a good incentive.
I would love to set up the Zulu scenario here - perhaps a different battle but using all the same models. Alternatively a nice big participation game with four historical armies two each side and facing off against each other. A nice little twist here would be to start the round with nobody knowing who has sided with who. Then on round two they all throw dice. The two with even numbers will team up and the odd numbers etc... Or let them draw coloured lots. This would be amusing as in the first round they may have positioned themselves awkwardly and it would need a little expertise to get out of that mire... total chaos! ha ha! Failing that I do like the idea of a massive undead army against an equally large army!

although we didn't get the grant i think we should still consider doing an event this year especially as we have enough funds to pay for it ourselves and because of that we can keep any and all monies made from entrance fees and trade stands etc.
i think this would be good to do around September time, using some if not all of the games from Kelmarsh, along with Bedford and Northampton putting on a table as well hopefully.
any thoughts?
