I wasn't planning on scrutinising army lists as such, this is supposed to be a friendly event after all.

Well, sorry to have to say this people but it looks as though I will be the only person from Bedford coming along for the Warhammer. There will be a few for the 40K, but all of our fantasy players seem to be otherwise engaged.
It would appear then that the Warhammer competition is probably off, and speaking to Steve last night it seems that most of the Rushden people have bowed out on those grounds.
Can't say I blame you really -- there's little point running it nobody is going to turn up.
That being said, I shall still be coming along and looking for a game. Steve suggested that Warren might be up for a big fantasy battle, which sounds like fun, so please let me know if that's true.
As for size I could do anything up to 6½k although Steve was talking more along the 3k or 4k mark, which is fine by me.
So if you're up for this Warren, pick a number and let me know please.
Mike

Hi Mike - there are two options here. 1) I will play you 5000pts but it may be a cross of two armies if I can't find all of my models. 2) I'm waiting for Carl to give me a call to see if he wants to pair up with me against you. This would be 2500pts each against your 5000pts. Just prepare 5000pts - I take it that its High Elf?

That's great Warren -- 5000 pts it is
And yes, it will be the elves -- it's the only army I have that big
As for which option -- either is fine with me
See you on Saturday
Regards Mike

Stephen - Julie is asking how many of the aspect troops you have - modelwise.
She has put in Asurmen with those 3 dire avengers so she would like to borrow those 4 models please.
How many of the other elites to you have (models in number) - are Simon's eldar still available for club use?
Julie only has 2172pts at the moment so anything to bolster this to 3000pts will be a bonus.
So Dark Reapers with character Maugan Ra, Striking scorpions, fire dragons, howling banshees, swooping hawks (to make another unit), and any other fast or heavy support vehicles? How many modelwise do you have please (yours or Simon's)?

I actually have got 2289 pts now but as Warren says I need to know how many models are available to borrow so that I can do my list. Do the special characters go into a particular aspect warrior unit? The ones you have listed like Asurmen say that they have disciples that are Dire Avengers and the other one Maugan RA have disciples that are dark reapers. Am I reading that right? Any walkers or other vehicles will help. Thank you Steve.

I have loads of stuff.
As far as I'm aware the Phoenix Lords can join other units as with any other independant character, I don't think they're limited to joining units of their own Aspect, although from a background point of view this would make more sense.
I'm at work at the moment, but from memory I have the following:
7 Striking Scorpians with Exarch 6 Striking Scorpians with Exarch 8 Howling Banshees with Exarch 6 Swooping Hawks with Exarch 6 Fire Dragons with Exarch 6 Warp Spiders with Exarch 5 Dark Reapers with Exarch 3 Dire Avengers (These are unpainted)
I also have in the region of 30+ Rangers 3 Falcons 3 Vypers (All armed with Scatter Lasers) 2 Wraithlords (Old Style) One with a Star Cannon and One with a Bright Lance 2 War Walkers (Mix of Weapons, Forget exactly what) 1 Avatar 2 Farseers with 6 or 7 Warlocks Plus a whole bunch of Guardians with a variety of Support Platforms

Just kicked Julie off the computer - its all mine now!!!!
Mike - I just went through my undead army and to be honest I didn't know how much I actually had. I have in the region of 10000pts gulp!!! Most are in abit of a sorry state - especially the old plastic skellies and zombs. I have been gluing and reparing quite a few.
If you wanted to stretch it 5500pts I can oblige - but I think going for 6000pts is too tempting to add another Lord - and for me that would be an over excessive magic phase (timewise)! There are one or two troops that I couldn't fit in plus I managed to remember the Core minimum requirements - 6!! I can't use bat swarms, dire wolves or the corpse cart as counting as part of that minimum. So its just skellies, ghouls and zombies!
Let me know if you want to keep it just to 5000 pts or if you want to add another 500pts.

Whatever you like Warren
Just to make this easier, I shall build lists for 5K, 5½k, 6K and 6½k
Any of those is fine by by so I'll simply match whatever you bring along
See you Saturday
Mike
