Liam,
Just to let you know my D&D game has picked up an additional player (a Half-Orc Rogue).
It would be mildly helpful in terms of intergrating you (and him) into the party if you could come up with a reason for your character being in a Rhest Swamp on the northern edge of the Elsir Vale kingdom.
I already have a stock explanation, which is: That you've been sent out on the orders of the Lord of Brindol (the Capitol of the Elsir Vale) in order to find Edmunds Paladin/Kensi character (who reports more or less directly to the Lord of Brindol, and who had sent him a messanger prior to heading off to Rhest himself) and to determine what is happening around Rhest.
Depending on your character this might not make the most sense, so if you have an alternative explantion or motivation for your character that might be helpful.

Is this Brindol the city you mentioned that would hold the Guild outpost were I to be a Mage of the Arcane Order?
I'm still considering what to play at this point, but it's either going to be an archer or an Arcane spellcaster, like we discussed on the way to Bedford the other week.

That would be it.
I'll go through the details of what's going on and how the region of the world you're in looks on Tuesday.

Stephen, would you have problems if I used the Expanded Psionics Handbook? I know some referees have a dislike for the Psionics rules so I wanted to run it by you first.

How many are in the Red hand group now?

I have no problems with the Psionics rules. When I used them, which admittedly is rarely, I tend to play them as Psionics are basically magic, but accessed a via a different mechanism.
I tend to find this causes the least problems when Psionics overlaps with standard Magic.
In terms of group size it's now 8, but that includes two players who are only going to be playing over the summer.

It's not looking likely that I'll be using them now (the build I was planning didn't quite work out) but thanks anyway. I agree with you that maintaining the Psionics-Magic transparency is a good idea in a low Psionics campaign (or any campaign where you just add a random Psionic character like I was considering).
