Well I have tweeked a number of the rounds that we will be playing - 10 in all. As there are a few tables involved I really don't want to start messing with this system to put them on. Instead I will try my best to email them to you all next week. This gives people a good look and may conjure up potential battles (with some imagination it has to be said)
On Tuesday 18th August I will put names into a hat and draw the team sides.
I have called Team A " The League of Ancients" and Team B is called "The Hegemony of Imperialists". However if anybody has anything better suggestions then please fire away.
Rules for this are quite simple - to avoid duplicate sides in armies then ever effort will be made to fairly seperate them. For instance if an Imperial Roman side was drawn out for Team A and then another Imperial Roman side was drawn for Team A - then this would automatically be put into Team B. This stops a monotony of playing the same army type over and over again.
Although judging by the number of Romans this will difficult. I will not count different era Romans as the same type - so Republican Romans, Caesarian Romans, Imperial Romans and late Romans would be classed as different armies.
As soon as the teams are determined then the draw for the first round skirmish game will be done. This should hopefully be finished by the end of September. To try and move this along over the year and to give Phoenix gamers a little leeway I will draw each round on the last Tuesday of every month. This game must be completed by the last gaming Tuesday gaming night in the proceeding month.
Technically that is one game a month to commit to.
If I don't have your email then could you please PM me here and let me have it - so that I can send you all the details for each round. There are ten rounds and it makes for interesting reading.
I have taken on board a lot of suggestions from Steve who has simplified a few aspects of some of the rounds. The suggestions in the other post were taken on board but they do look a whole lot different now.
Bonuses will happen for victorious armies and this could lead to a growth in your army or even a loss of men
I will aim to send these out by the weekend - so emails please!
