Sorry I can't remember who I'm playing on the 14th April? I know that I'm playing Windy on the 21st and Jon Nicholls on the 28th.
If I was supposed to play you please let me know here - if not then I suppose I will have a free night painting at home.

Ha ha - I like your sense of humour - I don't know much about 40K and I only have a tyranid army that is still on sprues mostly. I have only three things painted. I know I should play more to get to know the rules but to be honest I believe it wouldn't be worth you turning up to play me... you would have a really boring time with my endless rules questions. So I guess that's a no - but thanks for the kind offer, I'm not worthy of a game as yet.

I could bring a Marine army that you could use and learn the rules with? now there are no excess for learning the rules! ;D

I'll tell you what between now and Tuesday I will try to fit my Tyrannid sprues together and black spray them. How does a 1000pts a-side battle sound? You would have to go easy on me and explain a few rules still. Mind you I did play in the 40K doubles tournament we had earlier this year and sort of grasped some of the rules.
1000pts may be a low but with other things to paint and do this will be all that I could manage for Tuesday. Let me know quickly so that I can make a start on them.

Yeah 1000pts is fine for a training game, seriously thou if you would like to leave it for another time thats fine with me.

yeah sure how many do you need? just a thought we could play 500 or 750pt games if you would like that way we could get two games in and you don't have to rush around

Actually that sounds better! Getting two games in - yeah go for 750pts! Let's see if we can get two games in.
For flying bases I need 8 if that's ok?

6 is better than none - thanks Darren!

Thanks again for the flying bases Darren - and thanks for the game - allbeit my first on my own outing with Tyranids. Bad bad rolls - everybody says that I should get new dice - but each one I touch seems to have the same effect! So perhaps I'm just cursed. Still not bad but I'm still wondering about those powerfisting nobs that I wasn't allowed to attack yet they basically pulverised my army. Good game although as I did warn you a little slow because of my constant questions. I just need more practise games. Maybe in a month or so I will play you again.

No problem.
Ok, Nobz are Upgrade characters as defined in P.47 of rulebook.
Independent characters (such as my Warboss) are treated as separate unit in an assault, even if the unit they have joined assault an enemy unit. And as such can be targeted by models that are in base to base contact and those that are in 2" of base to base combat. This is described in P.49 with the help of illustration showing a Warboss about to kick some Marine-boyz ;D
Another game is cool with me.
