Hi all,
Was thinking about getting the new Warhammer Historical 'Trafalgar' rule set which is for 1:1200th ships, in the period between 1795-1815.
Anyone else got any ships? Was going for British myself.

i was planning to do a naval battle for kelmarsh this year however we could get no sposors and the 1/1200 ships are quite expensive at around £7-£15 each however i have seen an offer for trafalger and a 1/3000 scale fleet for £65 on the net

OK, ive got the new 'Trafalgar' Rules from Warhammer Historical, and got myself a Fleet from GHQ in 1:1200 scale. (this is also the recomended scale in the book).
A little more pricey than the 1;2400th, but after looking at both fleets, the 1:1200 just looked so much better. Will bring them to the club for people to see.

Best way to compare would be to have a battle, if we could use your fleets, and my Trafalgar rules.. maybe slow as we learn/play, but will give the best comparison.
Im available towards the end of the month if you fancy.

Kieron - what sort of numbers of ships are you looking at to have a worthwhile game? I'm thinking of investing but would like to know what I'm into in terms of initial purchase.
Nb: still liking the thought of those 120+ gun Spanish First Rates! Cheers

The thing about this is that it is usually the person with the biggest naval that wins and it's never going to be a skinny bloke like me Boom! Boom!

Alex, So is an "inny" considered defensive and an "outty" and aggressive naval fleet.
