Hi folks,
I'm looking to play some Magic: The Gathering - Commander/EDH preferably but anything really.
Anyone into that or are you all focused more on Warhammer etc?

There are some of us that do play Magic, primarily Commander as it happens, so we're happy to have an additional player.
Most of us that play Magic, also are playing in a Pathfinder RPG campaign that runs on a Fortnightly basis, so we're generally only playing Magic every other week.
As it happens last night was the night we were playing Magic, so if you're looking for a commander game we'll next be playing on the 28th, as next week we'll all be playing Pathfinder.

Thanks for replying, that sounds great.
I'll come down on the 28th. What time do you normally start?
What kind of power level are your decks at? Am I gonna get destroyed by turn 4 combos?

We generally start around 7pm, but nothing much is going to have got going until probably 7:30pm generally.
I'm not totally sure how to answer the power level question. I don't play much these days outside our casual group, so I've not got a very good frame of reference these days as to how powerful or not commander is usually.
We also play mostly multiplayer, often 4, 5, or 6 player, which also tends to make it hard to access the power level of decks as dealing with multiple opponents tends to level things off more.
There aren't many of us running decks that would be looking to win earlier than say turn 6 or so. But we do have a number of people playing decks, that are either aiming to combo off with not much notice or chance to disrupt them, or are pretty aggressive in terms of taking out other players. I for example have a Bruna Light of Alabaster deck, that's looking to one hit kill players with unblockable commander damage.
So I'd probably judge the power level as medium, with some that might be classed as high I guess.

Ok, thanks for that. Sounds like I might see some fun, strong decks. I've only been playing magic a few months. I've got plenty of online Arena experience but very little commander/multiplayer experience so I'm interested in seeing what people come up with.
Are there any house/deckbuilding rules I should keep in mind?

Nothing very much I can think of, other than the usual commander rules.
We have no ban lists or anything like that, so pretty much whatever you bring down ought to be fine.
