Hello all,
My name is Alex, I have been an on and off 40k player for over 20 years now and I am searching for somewhere locally for me to get a few games. I live in Oundle and am just getting back into the hobby and need a place to relearn the rules and get back up to speed.
Though I would happily join in with some of the other games played at your club I don't have the means to get into lots of different rule sets at the moment or the funds to build lots of new armies so I am mostly interested in just some 40k matches, perhaps with the chance to try out some other things on occasion.
Are there other 40k players in the club and would it be likely I could get a couple of games a month to help me get started back into the hobby? I have struggled to find local clubs who play Games Workshop so I would like to try Phoenix gaming if 40K games are on offer.
Many thanks
Alex.

Hi Alex and welcome to the boards! Yes we have a lot of 40K players here but also so much more diversity in the games we play. There is a good number of AoS players too and also Kings of War , Bolt Action, Frostgrave, Historicals (WAB, KoW and many others) plus Hobbit / LOTR. That is just scratching the surface. Come down any Tuesday evening (7-11pm) for a perusal and hook yourself up with a game then. Unfortunately 40K isn't my scene but there are many who would accommodate.
To post for a 40K game when you are ok to do so (after a visit) - use the Arrange games section above this Dsicussion one. hope to see you soon Warren
