Well, looks like I've done it again
I have completely failed to organise a game for tomorrow (I know, a totally unforgivable level of laxity on my part, for which I am suitable embarrassed)
So, anybody else out there without a game?

OK Rick, looks like we're on It'll have to be fantasy 'cos I still haven't gotten around to building my Tau army (I know, very remiss of me) Usual thing - pick number - anything up to 5K and I'll match it
See you tomorrow then

Hi Mike, Let's just go for 2000 points-a nice round number, I think!

OK Rick, 2000 it is - see you tonight
--------------------
Warren, regarding the elven civil war - as I recall, it went something like this (though I may have mis-remembered some of this)
I started well by shooting up windy's sea guard (lots) and they ran away - straight through one of his bolt throwers, panicking the crew as well
That took out his sea guard, one of his bolt throwers and one of his wizards (who was hidding in amongst the sea guard)
That left only his dragon princes on my right wing - and they spent a few round trying to manoeuvre around my chariots (didn't fancy taking the impact hits I guess)
Unfortunately, things didn't entirely go my way. On my left flank he shot up my dragon princes - with archers of all things (I could have understood if it had been a bolt thrower, but archers - against a 2+ armour save - sometimes the gods are just not with you). Although I did even the score by shooting up the archers responsible (which incidentally also did for his other wizard).
Anyway, that left my left left flank velnerable to his pheonix guard. Apart from harassing them with my reaver knights (who managed to get themselves killed off in the process) there wasn't much I could do to stop them connecting
Meanwhile, back on the right flank, his skirmishers picked a fight with one of my archer units and lost badly while his dragon princes worked their way around the woods (neatly out-manoeuvring my chariots). They then proceeded to destroy one of my archer units (the one that had seen off his skirmishers) only to get shot up by the combined efforts of my bolt throwers and my general (equipped with a magic longbow).
Meanwhile, back on the left flank, his pheonix guard (unsurprisingly) chased off another archer unit. Then his general, carrying the same magic bow I'd chosen (spooky or what), took a pot-shot at one of my wizards, wounding but not killing him
Final result (as best as I can recall):-
My loses: - 5 dragon princes (including full command group) - 5 reaver knights (including unit champion) - 2 archer units (10 men each) - 1 half unilt of archers (from assorted shooting) - 1 wound on a level 1 wizard
Windy's loses: - 5 dragon princes (including full command group) - 5 skimishers (not sure if they had a command group) - 1 unit of Lothern sea guard (including full command group) - 1 unit of archers (12 men I think) - 2 bolt throwers (one ran off and the other got shot up) - 2 wizards
(I'm afraid I don't remember if I took off enough of his pheonix guard to count)
All in all, something of a bloodbath, although I did manage to snatch a win out of it (but not by much)

A pretty fair summary of the bloodbath, Mike ;D
