As the playoffs and final for the SFS is a knockout situation, how will the winner be decided in the event of a draw?

A replay is the only option with the idea of possible penalties. I take it Darrell's keeper of secrets will be in goal? Oh sorry wrong game - just replays please!!

are you hoping for a drew then paul thats what i like to see confidence Well i'm going to be playing for a draw since you have home advantage, but then we will take you back to Athel Loren to our special 'pitch', which is surprisingly covered in foilage.

Are you trying to ensure that this league goes on for the longest time possible?
What's wrong with simply using the points scored? If you scored more points than your opponent, even if it's only a single point then you go through. I really don't want to get into a situation where I have to play the same game more than once in succession.

i think Steve's idea is good. it ensures people try and do as much damamge as possible, but this is a lesson for future leagues in putting it in there at the start etc. partly my fault as i think i wrote most of the rules but hey ho.... such is life. we learn and move on etc.
of course if you REALLY want to play more games then you could always do another mini league where the four remaining players play each other once and the one with the most points at the end of the 3 games wins.
only a suggestion, this then alleviates the problem with draws as you get less points for a draw obviously.

i disagree steve i dont know about you guys but i always play for a win and surely in a tournament such as this results should be settled in a bloody victory for one side or the other

Judging by most of the battles so far the likelihood of a draw is very small. Only two draws in all the matches so I really don't think it will come to this.
To be honest it may be an excellent idea to invoke Stephen's wonderful champions scenario from last year for draws. You remember when we had a champion each with so many items etc. Well you could set the number of points allowed for each hero champion and run Steve's rule as a best of three or just one single combat. That is basically the closest equivalant of penalties bar shooting at a target where wood elves have an unfair advantage and some teams do not have shooting.

Well I think it's fair to say it never looked like being a draw! The scales (and dice) did tip one way and then the other. I'm not going to spoil it by saying who won, but enough to say it came down to the last turn.

I don't play for draws either, but I also don't want to have to replay any games. This league has gone on long enough. If I did get a draw against Liam say, it might take me a month to be able to reshedule the game.
I've got my game against Henry scheduled for the 10th of Feb. So that means I'll hopefully be playing my first knockout game, probably against Liam, on the 24th. My next slot for a game is the 10th of March, where I'd ideally like to get my first FoW league game in, as that is starting at the beginning of March.
Presuming I win the first game I might not be able to fit in the final game of SFS until the end of March, depending on my opponents availability. Having to replay draws could very easily push that into April or beyond.
I've played a lot of warhammer recently and to be honest I'm getting a little tired of the game and want an extended break. Three more games at most is acceptable, more than that will just be tedious.

I also don't think my just for fun Character vs Character thing is a good way of resolving a tie.
Why add extra complexity into the competition.
I personally don't think we'll end up with any draws anyway, none of the armies that have qualified are set up to produce those kinds of results.
