As long as it is clear to your opponent which unit you are testing for sequence makes very little difference.
Because of the random direction moved, the random distance moved and the chance of a unit not starting on the table then unless the dice are extremely kind any formation you set up in will have gaps in it.

Units that scatter off the table get two rolls to return the same as a unit that pursues an enemy off the table.

Following on from a conversation I had with somebody earlier today people should keep in mind that the terrain tables in the main rules
These will be used to generate the tables on the day- and if you look at them you will see that they will not have much on.
During play tests the most commonly generated tables had zero terrain
Please bear this in mind

Hi Simon ,we used the terrain table and rolled 2 woods plus my Assyrian enemy had a wood as well !! Lol those poor chariots
