Once I have every list in then I can get on with the first round draw. People have just less than 24 hrs to get their lists in. I got a few today but still missing lots. Could also put down which club you are from as I want to avoid club members playing each other at least for the first round - after that its gloves off!

Ok peeps looks like all lists that I expected are in there are one or two that are on holiday (out of the country) but I expect their lists in when they return. The draw for the first round will be on Thursday and I will post up on the same night. I have 40 odd of these lists to go through so it might take a little while to get through on top of all the marking and lesson prep I have so patience everyone. We still have some lastminute.com places left if anybody wants in - even if you don't have a partner we can fit you in with someone so let us know people. It would only be for the first round and then you will be randomly drawn with others in the room. Its just that anticipation of who you will be drawn with and against that makes the Rumble (so biasly) one of the best doubles tournaments in the UK. If you want a fun tournament ask me for a rulespack and scenario pack or downlaod from the first thread. You would have to register and sign in. Conversely you could always look at our facebook page a download via dropbox from there Dropbox scenario and rules downloads on facebook.

Well if you do finish early on that one there is always the Pub across the road - alternatively don't roll a six!!

Played the one with the corner deployment opposite each other. If you haven't got enough room for your models what happens to them !

If there isn't enough room it means you have too many troops at a 1000pts LoL!
No seriously you should just stack them behind on the board edge ready to come on in the first round.
Are you sure you played this 12 inches in on the width and 24 inches along the long edge?

Just a reminder that Giants have to be on a 50 x 75 mm base - no exceptions. If you are struggling with this and have an old 50 x 50 base then place a cavalry base 25 x 50 behind it at right angles and you should be ok.

3. Anita Lee (Ogres) + Nav Hussain (Empire) vs Will Stacey (CD) Dave Barker (Brettonians)
4. Tony Sansom (Ogres) + Kale (DE) vs Robert Shapland (HE) + Adam Murray( Empire)
5. Ben Fox (WoC) + Dale Needham (O&G) vs Ken Baldock (HE) + Colin Robinson (Empire)

11. Stuart Hawkins (Empire) + Norbert Linke (TK) vs Ben "Panzer" Harris (Ogres) + Dan Humpage (VC)
12.
We are unsure about the player for table 2 at this minute but will let you know as soon as we can find one. Rob is trying to find a player to partner him as he would like to still come. I had Stephen Mawson in on this but something may have come up for this - which he told me about this evening. He's looking to get out of it so we have to wait and see. If necessary if we can't find another person then I will have to jump in and cover and I will play Dwarfs as its just easier to do. Really don't want to but when means must.

Got the trophies and will be photographing them tomorrow at the club so see them up on Wednesday probably. Thanks to both of my daughters - the draw for the second and third round draws have been made. Those of you that have been before know the format. Basically these are put into brown envelopes and sealed. Each one will be opened at the end of the proceeding round and put up on the noticeboard. This works out nice for me as I can take my time and care over the totting up of scores rather than rush a la Swiss style. The tables will be numbered from one to eleven (or twelve if we get two teams in) but this is just for simplicity. Psychologically get it out of your heads that you are on the bottom or top table - they don't exist in this tournament. When registering you will be given a tournament leaflet / score sheet with your name on it. Please do not lose this. On this there will be places to add scores and vps. Also there will be a sports score and spare spots for the giant survival points for each round. A total giant survival pts box can be filled in at the end. On totting up scores I will ignore the initial giant scores and will add the total bonus score at the end of the tournament. Only add up your individual giant survival score not your partners. Please don't forget to add these and especially the sports scores for opponent one and two for each round. There are 6pts possible for each individual for each round which makes 18pts for the tournament.... if you play nice . So please don't forget to do this. Also there will be a best painted army award. If you think your army is pretty much eye candy leave it out with your name over lunch for some peer assessing. Again these are in your score leaflets. Although there is no rush to get these scores in but please ensure that they are there by the end of the tournament. FAQ - The magic lore you put into your army list must be used throughout the tournament, but please generate new spells each round (unless you are a loremaster). A reminder to Wood Elf players that the mysterious wood you chose for your free wood must be used throughout the tournament. You cannot use option 1 (a normal wood). Buildings can hold only one unit of any size of infantry, war beasts, monstrous infantry, monstrous beasts and swarms, as well as race specifics such as spider riders. All woods are mysterious except in the last game. All other terrain is normal except buildings in the last game. No conga lines please! Any questions please ask away.
