4 places left although I will be adding another place at the end of the month if other PGC players don't come forward. Then at the end of January the other saved place will also go. So make your minds up or lose it. So potentially 6 places on offer....

Just 4 left now I've come to the decision that we will have no more Phoenix uptake after this has been up for months and many comms. So just the 4 double places left now.

Technically this is now full - however I am looking for a spare table to open up two more slots. Also taking in mind that one of the freebee spots from last year has not been confirmed although I have sent numerous PMs without reply.

We are sticking with what we got tablewise as we all prefer a little room - so it's Sold out everyone - thank you for making this happen by buying a ticket (virtual though it is). We will still be taking paid reserves as there are always a few drop outs or the occasional man flu problems. Cheers guys!

Just to let everyone know that I will be trying out a few scenarios again over the next fortnight. Julie and I have already played the third scenario and it proves mighty hazardous for Giants with war machines about. Poison is also a major threat to Giants but the armour save and ward save sort of helped mine out a little.
Julie's DE Giant was trying to hide behind a wood as he was on two wounds after some surprising warmachine shooting by the O and G in round one, took a risk. This did undo him in the second round as she didn't read her incantation properly and succumbed from two more wounds (his last two) from the spirits that dwell within which made him fall over head first into the wood. This point leads me into the falling giants - hopefully people will bring falling giant templates. The Orc and Goblin book does have a template on page 111 which you are allowed to photocopy to make your own template.
In a nutshell Julie's dwarfs shot one of my giants (O and G one) in the second round with concentrated fire and that ended him. The other one made it to the end on one wound. As I said her DE giant fell to the wood ghosts in the end and the other was poisoned to death by my ghouls in round 4. My two only O and G warmachines both misfired in round 2 and both of them rolled a one on the D6 - so keeping to form! So My O and G giant got one point, my Vamp giant got 6, Julie's DE giant got one point and her oxymoron Dwarf Giant got 3 points. The Total game was a draw. So we shared 10 points.
In the Rumble these Giant survival points will be added to the total tournament points at the end. There is a prize for the best surviving giant of the day so mini -competition within the large one so to speak.
The scenario was sound and we didn't have to change anything. Although in game Julie was prudent enough to buff her giant with some magic, to no avail. Unfortunately my VC giant could not get his wounds back as he is living - I had no real buff spells so had to weather it.
If anybody has questions about the scenarios then please let me know via email or PM or just write here.
Remember that here is a 5 pt incentive to get your lists in by midnight 22nd Feb. I know some of you will leave it till the last minute - try not to as you may just forget altogether and you will not gain the 5 pts. Its in writing here so there should be no excuses.
I'll update with another scenario soon.

Play tested the Maelstrom scenario again thanks John (game one) and one thing came up which didn't before. A couple of 4s in succession were rolled on the dice to check what type of maelstrom it was. Now this is a good buff (the Maelstrom of light) as it gives the unit it goes over +1 strength. However we discussed the value of actually targeting the maelstrom to get this buff ie run into it. We found that this was unrealistic as why would a unit run towards something that looked quite hellish if they had no idea what it was?
Errata: So we have come up with this house rule.
"A unit cannot move through a maelstrom and has to stop one inch away from it or go around it. It does not block line of sight but any shooting is -2 to hit through it, simply because of the vortex strength it possess. Cannon shot is not affected (too strong) and neither are stone throwers or doom divers as these two will go over the top. However all bolt throwers will be at -2 to hit."
A typo in the same scenario on page 3 within the Maelstrom D6 table - on a roll of a 5 the description should read "2D6 strength 5 hits for all units in its path." and not "models".
A wizard losing a level will also lose a random spell from the Catastrophic maelstrom (roll of a 6)
Any randomly moved models (fanatics, mangler squigs etc...) will be bounced away from the maelstrom - use a directional dice to see which way they are moved further from that point and use the rest of your movement allowance that was rolled.
Any more questions would be warmly received.
As you can see we have had a few drop outs so 2 team places are up for grabs again. Let me know if you wish them.
Scenario pack updated accordingly here.
