Let me start then with a question on army organisation.
WWII is reknown for having ad hoc units combined into a task force, therefore when I put a force together does the force all have to be the same morale grading or from the same unit organisation.
For example if I have a infantry platoon thats veteran do all squads have to be veteran. If I have a supporting tank does it have to be the same morale grade as the infantry platoon?

for this event each list counts as and is 'one platoon' and therefore can only have one HQ unit and all other platoon / force restrictions apply, i.e. one flamethrower team per list etc
as for morale, a platoon can have units of differing morale in it, so you could have 1 verteran infantry squad and 3 regular if you wish or any other combination as long as you pay the correct points for it / them.

guys
i have some clarifications etc. in so much;-
as Mortars are in the lists BEFORE it mentions artillery, then they ARE allowed in your 500pt force if you so wish to pay the points to use them.
also, in your 750pt list, as long as you have the points you can if you wish have ANY type of vehicle, including tanks, again if you wish to pay for them, and risk losing more vp's if taken out.
any questions please shout, and dont forget the list to be in by 31st Jan as i will be strict on the penalties due to Pete and i having to check lists and advise any issues.
if your lists are in by 31st and any mistakes are found you will be sent them back and get 3 days to rectify before any further penalties, if appropriate are awarded.

Guys; be careful if you use the army builder files as if they contain units in them that are NOT in the main rulebook then these units will NOT be allowed in the tournie. this is to keep things fair as the british book will not be out until March.
any questions please ask them here and i will answer here or PM you as appropriate

Carl,
Having read the rules and army lists and understanding your requirement that only one Tank etc, can be taken, I take it that you are restricting players to one "Reinforced Platoon", which triggers the limitations on the other hardware choices. I refer in particular to page 124 of the rule book.
In that case having read the errata I take it that players are limited to 5 infantry squads, being the 2 in the Reinforced Platoon and the 0-3 additional squad options. I note in the errata that the free Inexperienced squad in the Russian special rules does not count towards these limits therefore the Russians can have a maximum of 6 infantry Squads.
The impact of this is that it means that players will not be able to run mininum squad numbers (i.e.5 troopers) to get more squads, i.e. 6 or 7 squads, therefore more dice in the game.
If I have got this worng please advise so I can re plan my lists.
Confirmation or otherwise would be appreciated.
thanks
Paul

exactly. the rulespack clearly states that ALL lists are to be written following the rules for one platoon as i deliberately did this to stop cheesy lists be put in with several platoons of just two infantry squads so people couldn't have say more than one flamethrower or other such nastys inc tanks or vehicles. so yes, please follow the rules for one platoon when selecting your units and yes, five infantry squads max
