This will be held at the Rushden Scout Hall same address as before, on Saturday 9th March 2013.
This is a very well supported Doubles WFB tournament which involves 3 games with different scenarios. You play with the partner you came with for the first round only and for rounds 2 and 3 we randomly swap partners.
The rulespack is all but finished and the game scenarios have nearly been completed so expect to see this very soon.
More details to follow.

Any questions about the rulespack and Scenario please put up here so that I can make an FAQ sheet nearer the time. Best get the niggly questions out of the way. Both can be found here phoenixgamingrushden.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=clubevents&action=display&thread=2128 but you must be registered and signed in to download. Its standard practice for us. If this is bothersome please just leave an email (one that your not fussed too much about others knowing) and I will attach both to a reply. Just to recap about the Tournament; there will be three games each approximately 2.5 hrs each. First round you come with a partner (Initial team) and play together. Then for rounds two and three you will be randomly drawn with a different partner. Don't worry we won't run up to the pub and grab any old drunken joe who hasn't had a wash for a week . It will be another player in the room. Three scenarios are 1) Mysterious river: hold the bridge and ford points by the end of the game oh and kill as much stuff in the process! 2) As Mad as a March Hare!: Normal battleline but you both must model a March Hare each for this one (conversions) on a 25mm base. There are some ideas in the scenario pack and there is a small award for the best conversion or most apt looking for your army. These cause enemy troops to become rabid but be careful with them as they can also cause you some damage - directly and indirectly. 3) Beware the Ides of March: Normal Battleline however you have a free assassin as does your partner. Put both of these into the same unit secretly and assassinate characters for extra vps. More detailed info in the packs. Any questions?

If it does chaos rabbits will be banned! Again if any new books do come out then the buff effects for each army may be changed.

Guys can I have payments for this by the end of the month as the venue has to paid for. For Phoenix players and anybody that wishes to pay on club nights or via the address in the rulespack, the payment is £6.50 - otherwise it is £7 via Paypal to warren.s66@virginmedia.com. Its getting to the point where we have only a third of people paying up after this has been up for months. So if you could please show your continued support for a successful fourth year!

Here are the trophies for the Rushden Rumble 2013 - I hope you like them. 2013-02-16-341 by corixa66, on Flickr From left to right Back: x2 Bloodthirtser cups, x2 champions cups with the handles, in front of those are the best painted force trophy (blue) and the Best converted Mad march hare award, To the left back is the two runner up trophies. Front x2 third place trophies sandwiching the best sportsmanship framed certificate, and the two medals are the last place "It's a tragedy!" awards. and a close up of the Mad March Hare Award: 2013-02-16-343 by corixa66, on Flickr and one of the Bloodthirster Cup Trophies: 2013-02-16-344 by corixa66, on Flickr If anybody is still interested in entering there are still places available as we have had some dropouts - Lists MUST be in by Saturday midnight 23 February 2013. You will gain 10 tournament points for this if its all above aboard. If you wish to send in lists now that would be great and if there are any mistakes I will let you know via email. Provided that you can get corrections back to me before the deadline (or I will amend if its trivial) you should get the 10pts. We have had a few in already and it is quite clear that people have not read the buffs or restrictions bit in the rulespack. Some are doing their armies an injustice by not adding some of the buffs (eg Free command or magic banner / icon up to 25pts) check the listings for it and you shouldn't go wrong. See you all in 3 weeks! Draw for the first round will be up on the Saturday 2nd March 2013.

Just want to say a massive thank you to Pete for stepping in to do loads of leg work in the Rumble. I didn't actually realise he was doing the official press release for us here - very amusing, you should do this more often. Thank you again mate it was a pleasure. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Hopefully everybody had a fun day - its a bit out of the ordinary for Warhammer tournaments, but most I spoke to had a good experience. I do have to apologise for the third round game on table 7 that went on for far too long than it should have when people wanted to get home. Next time I will implement penalty points if it happens next year. Hence the slightly rushed awards ceremony as I was conscious of people wanting to go. If I forgot to mention anything during that time then I do apologise. About next year, we will not be doing scenarios that were as convaluted as they were today. I have an idea that has been tried and tested at other tournaments, so hopefully this should make games run a little quicker.
Well done to Andy Mellor and his Bretonnians who won the whole tournament with Simon Millership (Empire) coming in an equal but not as equal as Andy's first place (very Animal Farm). Lots of NCC players doing well today and walking away with prizes. This includes Justin Easby (Empire) who gained an equal second with Ben Panzer Harris cries of "how did that happen?" mainly from Ben... well done in gaining a trophy. Then we had our joint third places with Sam Nickerson and Nathan Easby (daemons) - who was glad to step in at the last minute to help us out. Nathan beat Mark Borland for the third place trophy by just 22 vps both scoring the same points.
Justin Easby and Sam Nickerson walked away with the Bloodthirster trophies amassing the most vps for and against -for the most bloodiest battles.
Best painted went to Maria Weiland who had some wonderfully painted wood elves and the best converted Mad March Hare trophy went to Richard Austin for his take on what a dwarf armoured bunny looks like - very nice and it complimented his army very well. Although there was some very hilarious ones - I wasn't sure about the empty cage with the bones left at the bottom of the cage base - but it made me smile.
No Phoenix players won ought but hey it was all about having fun.
I had three good games where I had to play on my own as I had a few last minute non-attendees. However thanks to Carl who popped into help in the last match. Nathan and Ethan Mad march hared me to death and took a win through that in the seocnd game. Thanks to Rene and Tony for the first game and to Craig and Dale for the last game.
See you all next year.
Best sports went to Geoff Moxon - well done! Although I didn't have the pleasure of playing Geoff today, I have in the past and he is a gentleman at the tables!!
Last place doesn't go away empty handed at the Rumble. Ian Davies from the NCC grabbed himself a brace of its a tragedy medals one last year and one this year. Maybe he could get a hatrick next year? Also grabbing himself the same medal was Mark Wildman. Both players will get free in to next year's tournament
