Kettering Games Club are going to be hosting a 40K doubles event on the 25th of November.
Provisional start time will be 9.30am, although this will be confirmed shortly.
There will be 3 games to play through the day, each lasting 1 hour 45 minutes. The matches will be drawn at random on the day.
Each game will have set points to score depending on the scenario. Although we will be using victory points as an aggregate score too decide a tie break.
Entry fee is £10 per team.
Team Rules
Doubles can choose any armies to use as the alliance, although no mirrors as in no 2 space marine allies for example. Each players army will be 1000 points, using the standard force organisation, for a 2000 points combined alliance.
Anything goes except -
• No allied detachments
• Codex psychic powers only
• No warlord traits
Bonus points for the tournament for each player (one point for each)
• Fully painted army
• Fully based army
• Deep strike once in the tournament
• Outflank once in the tournament
• Scout move once in the tournament
• Infiltrate once in the tournament
• Logical alliances, as in 2 imperium armies for example. Neutral allies count to anyone.
Match 1
This will use 'The Relic' scenario, use the rules in the 40K rulebook for this, the game lasts for 5 turns only and will use Vanguard strike deployment. However points are awarded as follows -
15 points for holding the relic at the end of the game
2 points for each enemy unit destroyed
1 point for each troop choice that survives
Match 2
This will use 'Purge the Alien' scenario and the 'Hammer and Anvil' deployment and the game will last 5 turns. Points are awarded as follows -
5 points for each troop choice destroyed
2 points for each other unit destroyed
10 points for a HQ choice destroyed
Match 3
This will use 'The scouring' scenario and the 'Dawn of War' deployment and the game will last 5 turns. Points are awarded as follows -
The objectives are worth double what the rulebook states for this scenario
2 points for each enemy unit destroyed
Any infantry unit can capture objectives
