Kieron I believe you offered some of the WAB army books for me to peruse through a few weeks back. Would it be ok to take you up on that offer to borrow them for a few weeks to judge the army compositions and tactically how they would fair against each other? (In light of the campaign later. If you could bring them on Tuesday with the Spartans I would be grateful. thanks

I would suggest that the books you are going to want to exclude are probably going to be El Cid, Chivalry and Vlad as their all Medieaval period armies.
Oh and while I'm thinking about it, can you let me know what archers you want for the Persians so I can order them.

I like the Immortal Miniatures archers they're nice figures. Would make pretty good skirmishing archers for a wide variety of periods.
How many archers do you want? 20, 30?

Just go for 20 at the moment as my hand /wrist is playing up and painting is proving very difficult and painful. This should be ok as I have 12 persian bowmen painted, 16 immortal bowmen, 10 Egyptian marine bowmen, and possibly up to 20 other Persian bowmen although they do look a little smaller than the Vendel models. I have some skirmishers as well which again are on the smaller side of 25mm.

There's always one... but yeah great - bring them tomorrow. - To lighten your load I already have the Alexander book plus the Hannibal one as well as the AoA book, and rule book. As Steve says we can rule out all the books that are + 1066 AD etc. El cid, Chivalry , Vlad and the like. thanks

Darrell if you want some cash for them - then let me know how much for the cav and the archers and I will give you the money at the end of the month.
You can still enter with the Confederates or the Union soldiers but you wouldn't be able to use firearms - ha ha!
Seriously I think the amount of Warlords stuff that the club has got should be ok for you to lend at least a 2000pt army be it Romans or Gauls (loads of options for proxy models here - Germanics, celts (pick whatever nation) or even picts) . I could even put you together a Samnite army if you wanted.
