Anyone know where to find information on the current range of MTG cards. Which editions and expansions are current. The Wizards site sucks at providing info

I would actually suggest the wizards site, actually it's generally pretty good as long as you know where to look. Try the following link www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/Article.aspx?x=mtg/tcg/products/allproductsThis will take you to a page showing all the sets on wizards site, which handily shows you which sets go into which formats. The links against each set should take to you a page which should let you see a card image gallery of all the cards in each set. I'm assuming you're mostly interested in working out what's in the Standard format, which is the most recent couple of sets. Currently this consists of: Scars Block (Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Besieged, New Phyrexia) - This will rotate out of Standard in September. Magic 2012 Core Set - This will rotate out of Standard in September Innistrad Block (Innistrad, Dark Ascension, Avacyn Restored) Plus in about a fortnight we've got the new Core set being released. Magic 2013.

Yes I've noticed that too. I'm not sure if something there is broken.

I would also recommend gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Default.aspxThis is a searchable database of every card ever printed. You can search by pretty much any parameter such as mana cost, colour, card type, power, toughness, expansion set, format, etc.
