As a result of the last commitee meeting it was felt that we should let all know exactly what systems we play or will be playing. Also all competitions and potential futuure ones should be placed her so that everybody can see what we do and if they fancied to enter a league or campaign then all they needed to do was to register their interest in the relevant sections in the forum.
So here is a list of what is on offer:
Current 2012 competitions -
The 40K League 2011-2012 - nearly completed with a few games left to play.
The Simon Freshwater-Sturgess Memorial Trophy 2012 (WFB) - see or PM Darrell Lee if interested still as only a few games have been played although lists have been handed in. Games have started now.
Bolt Action League 2012 - see or PM Carl King if interested in this 28mm Second World War game. One or two games have already started.
Witchfinder General Campaign/League 2012 - see or PM Graham Sargeant for details on this 17th century supernatural game.
AD&D E3.5 - Roleplaying - has its full quota but if interested to see what happens and how you could be involved in future ones please press questions to Stephen Mawson.
Planned competitions for the very near future:
Dystopian Wars League 2012- see or PM Carl King for details on this boaty steam-punk game from the Victorian Age.
WAB2 Campaign - this will be most probably a Dark Age setting but see or PM Simon Robinson for further details.
Malifaux League 2012 - see or PM Graham Sargeant for this weird and wonderful game of skirmish gangs.
SAGA league - for those that wish to skirmish bash in the 10th and 11th Century. See Dave Tyrrell or Carl King for details.
Additionally the following systems are also played on an ad-hoc / pick up basis
o WAB
o FOW
o Hail Caesar
o Black Powder (ACW / Colonial / Napoleonic – to come)
o Pike & Shotte
o MAGIC THE GATHERING
o A Call To Arms (Babylon 5 and Star Fleet)
o Age of Eagles
o Micro Tanks
o Fire and Fury
o Wings of War
o Field of Glory
o Musket and Tomahawks
o Various board games (Carcassone, Munchkin, Call of Cuthulu, Arkham Horror etc..)
o Pirates (Wizards of the Coast) games
Now everybody can see what we do however the other games just scratch the surface. Sometimes something obscure or new will be played in the future. If you have any other suggestions for games THAT WILL BE PLAYED at least twice a year rather than get it out of the box etc every three years then please let me know.
