Well its that time of year and Justin has emailed me to tell me the date for this and unfortunately it lands on the 14th July this year and we know what we are all doing on this date. It just means at the moment we wouldn't be able to defend our title . This is a little disappointing but Kelmarsh comes first always has always will. Maybe next year or unless Justin has a change of date but apparently the venue was all booked up and they were only left with one cancellation date which coincides with our Kelmarsh date. Ah well...

shame they clash, but on the up side, although we cant defend our title we will still be the undefeated champions as we wont be there to be beaten
get the positive from the negative at all times.

Justin has asked the members of Norman Cross Crusaders about moving the date and venue and they all agreed that it would be a shame if we didn't come, so they have opted for either the 23rd or the 30th of June and asked us which one we would prefer to do. So it looks as if its back on however it now depends on you all. I would opt for the 30th June as it is at the end of the month and most (not all) get paid then. The third weekend of the month isn't particularly a fruitful one for me for petrol etc... however it depends on others.
Anyway this is what we have to fill for places within the email which I have pasted here from Justin:
"The tournament has been a success over the last 2 years and the feedback so far has been excellent. we have reacted to all your comments and hopefully we are tailoring the tournament into something everyone wants. The usual applies we will invite all the 3 clubs from last year and other local clubs to compete on this day that will include teams of 8-11 (members each club) taking part in the following:- warhammer fantasy (probably 2 teams of doubles) 40k (1 team of doubles) warmachine/hordes (single player) wab (1 team of doubles) Flames of war(singles) bloodbowl (sxingles) the veto has "gone" so these are the formats we are using (if you can't field a certain format we can help!) the "joker" remains this proved decisive last year and is a definite for the comp.(double points on your nominated format(secretly noted in sealed envelopes)) £100 per team(regardless of team size) - breakfast/lunch included. 1st 3 teams to pay are in (we may consider 5 teams as we have the space) trophies for each format and overall club winner plus best painted/conversion/sportsman please dont delay we had to turn 1 team away last year and hopefully this year we will have 5 teams(we are inviting 7 teams) any questions just ask. Justin Easby Norman Cross Crusaders (chairman)"
Ok comments please and keep them amicable please.
Julie and I will most probably go WFB.

I really enjoyed last years competition, so I'd like to go along again this year.
Of the codes that are listed, I only play WFB and 40K though.
I should be able to make either day, although 30th June would probably be the better date for me too.
Craig.

Sounds cool I guess the 30th is what we we should do then. So thus far WFB doubles - Warren and Julie WFB doubles - Paul R + Darrell W40K doubles - Craig W + ?? Warmachine Hordes - Stephen M Possibly WAB2 - Carl and Simon Flames of War - Graham S depending on era (late, etc?) Bloodbowl - James so we need 11 members let me know as soon as possible if you are up for this. First shout first served.

good man Simon.
Warren;- what period and points is it for WAB mate? best check we have an army or two that fits.
could you get him to confirm pts, periods etc for all genres asap.
also, if Hordes means Hordes of the Things then Colin is one to ask for this as he plays this and is quite good. dont know anyone other than maybe Steve who may do Warmachine.

I'll let people know when the rulespack is emailed to me.

ok mate, but you will prob get more response when people can see what the periods and pts are, so that info is more critical than specific rules etc

I would like to do the bloodbowl by preference but like darrell its been a while since I played. This is also providing someone can give me a lift there and back on the day.

Ok that seems settled if Darrell doesn't mind James can do the Bloodbowl and Darrell can opt for either 40K or fantasy although I think he's much better at 40K, but then there's Ben who hasn't said ought yet.
