Hi andy,
I'm new to forum and hoping to get to club next week for a look at what's going on.
With regard to WFRP 3e, I really like it. It's very heroic, but with a different dice mechanic to most conventional RPGs it creates some exceptional story telling and role playing opportunities.
I have a set and could bring it along for you to have a look through if you'd like? Maybe I could run a taster session.

How does it differ from 1st/2nd ed? I used to play 2nd ed and I've got a copy of 1st somewhere (not that it differs at all really.) I'm sure all the expansions and campaign books I've got would translate to at least some degree unless it's radically different.

Hi Andy,
Sorry for the delay in replying, been a very busy couple of weeks. I'm at the club tonight. More than happy to have a chat about it, plus show a few books etc.
I played the 1st edition and I think the 2nd just updated and tidied the rules. The 3rd edition is a complete overhaul of the system. Short of writing a 20 page essay, I think the best thing to do is have a look at YouTube for a video or two there are plenty of them.
All the stuff is easily transferable, from past editions, I've bought a load of old adventures and sourcebooks there is just a little bit of work as there is with any conversion from one system to another.
Hopefully see you tonight, if not drop me a line on here.

You might want to check your days! Club night was last night!
WFRP brings back memories. Think that was the first rpg I played!

Yeah I worked out that Wednesday night wasn't when you guys met when I walked in on the cubs! I think I got mixed up with the kettering club, they meet on a Wednesday.
Warhammer is still one of my favourite settings, such dark humour for a RPG.
