Talking about rule books - thanks for that one last night David! I am trying to find the opportunity to read it - but with 2 sets of reports to do by Tuesday plus homework galore to mark its going to have to wait a while!

kevin all bikes reguardless wether space marine, eldar , ork or dark angel can turbo boost the issue is wether the dark angels can do it in their scout move as they have the scout special rule and most other bikers including blood angels do not so i have e-mailed gw to try and get a final answer on the matter to clarify the position and will let everyone know the result when i get a reply. incidently i did ring them and posed the same question agreed without knowing some of the counter arguments BUT the reply was YES I CAN. So we wait patiently for an answer

Hello Darrell
I know that but I have never used turbo boost in the scout move with my Dark Angels.

Right, as it stands, RAW (which is GW's latest buzz word) states that Revenwing Bikers may not turbo boost during their scout move, unlike all other bikers in the game. If you do not believe me, please ask on any other 40k forum on the internet, and they will tell you precisely what I have.
Any answer you receive that is not in the Dark Angels FAQ will not be official. Whilst it may hold weight for individual tournaments (such as the GT), that simply means that the organisers of those tournaments have seen sense and made it as it should be.
I personally believe that the Ravenwing ought to be able to turbo boost during scout moves (especially considering that Scout Bikers and Deffkopters can), and would house rule it to allow you to do so in any games we play (as should any member of the club playing against a Dark Angels player under non-tournament conditions). However, there currently is no official blanket rule allowing you to do so; as you seem intent on taking your Dark Angels to the GT, this is something I thought you ought to be aware of, hence why I continue to make my argument.

hi liam i agree with your point of view but id does seem a bit ODD the ravenwing being suposadly specialy in the role the perform for the DA cannot turboboost in the scout yet some orc in a deffcopta can. you never know someone at gw might see that the way the rules read they are selling short one of the most famous forces in the imperium

To be honest, Kevin, that's not true. I attempt to be impartial and fair, but even then I still make mistakes; I'm only human after all. However, unlike GW, I'd like to consider that when I do make mistakes I own up to them and attempt to rectify the situation.
