i must admit this looks excellent, £70 is a lot for a boardgame, but i am tempted by something from GW for a VERY long time
would have been better if they came painted but the sprues look good and the bases are superb
wonder if the club should consider getting a copy to keep in the cupboard so people can use when they haven't got anything else to do or an opponent doesn't make it
would be quite happy to make and paint all or some of it

Good to see GW do something like this again - I miss them releasing one off systems. Bloodbowl and Mordheim remain 2 of my favourite games to date. It is a shame they will obviously not be doing supplements for this as I rather like the Empire and Dwarf ship models. At £70 not bad as the quality looks very good and it is literally everything you need for a game including the battlefield.
I would second the club getting a copy if we have the cash as naval games seem popular at the moment.

also, the mat would come in handy for games of dystopian, unchartered seas, trafalgar etc when the other mat is either being used or is too big. plus could use the mat at things like kelmarsh
