Great game tonight Carl - those guys of yours are just hard to shift in phalanx. I noticed we or should I say I did something wrong tonight. This didn't effect that game but we must look closer at the Hit and wound tables more carefully. You remember that I attacked your general hitting on 4's but 5's because he was in Phalanx? - Well I checked and its completely different for WAB2 than it is for WFB. My WS of 3 should have hit your General (WS 5) on 5's normally but 6's in phalanx. This now makes generals in Phalanxes nigh impossible to hit by the little guys! I really have to chuck those dice and get some new ones!

the +1 max rank limit for open order is also wrong - it is +2 same as Close Order - the summary at the back of the book is wrong

oh well that even things up then.
it was certainly a great game mate (cheers) made even better by you sitting on your dice tin, never seen you move so quick, and phalanx's are indeed hard to shift, and your save on that roll of 5 certainly madea difference at teh time as this was the middle of the battle and might hav swung it had they ran at that point.
also my general is WS6 so is a nasty bit of work too and as you say a so and so to hit

Yeah that dice box really needs to be sat on hen like for at leat a few minutes to hatch the dice. They didn't quite come out in that game.
