It has been suggested that the club looks at running a Pauper league for Magic the Gathering.
For anyone who is not familiar with the Pauper format, this means that all decks must be constructed of commons only. So no uncommons, no rares and no mythic rares.
As is usual for Magic we will be looking at 60 card decks, no more than 4 copies of any cards. A deck can contain a 15 card sideboard, which can be substituted into your deck after game one.
Each match in the league will be a best of three games match.
As these games don't take that much time, depending on the number of entrants we will be looking at each player playing each other twice.
I'm currently thinking that deck lists will be submitted in advance, and I think will be made public, in order to avoid the league organiser gaining an advantage from having seen every other players deck lists.

I don't think so. Although I'm going to talk over with Richard whether there are any commons from older sets that might need to be banned.

I did a Pauper Cube draft instead, mostly as people want to play, but didn't have time to commit over a lot of weeks to play games. So we drafted one evening and played some games, then kept the decks for a bit for people to play some additional games with.
I may think about doing another Cube Draft maybe sometime in June. Depends on when I can make time to work out which cards I want to use and spend the time randomising and sleeving them all.
