I've got Naps French and Julie has the Prussians - however this is for 28mm. All of them are still in boxes and untouched as yet. Have you got the Black Powder book as most will be in this. Warlords will be bringing out a Naps supplement for the rules so I've heard so don't know for sure. Lasalle plays ok for Naps 15mm and I do believe there was a Lasalle tournament being arranged at Maelstrom Games in Mansfield. Now from the Black Powder perspective on bases they only quote indvidual bases for infantry is 20mm x 20mm and for blocks 40mm x 40 mm (2 wide two deep but probably more with 15mm). Cavalry is 25mm x 50mm singles and 50mm x 50mm (2 wide, 1 deep again more with 15mm). This allows for changes in formations. The mixed order troops have a line of skirmishers with three guys on it, in front of the 40mm x 40mm bases. Again 15mm models are better on Lasalle, although I can't say much but there is a website with some good downloads www.sammustafa.com/honour/

When playing WAB2 we assume that opponents are playing 28mm and the eras are ancients from around 800BC to circa 11th century. Although its better to play from particular books. So I don't know if I'm putting two and two together here and making five, but how do the Naps fit in here? Is this just another project you have going aside from your WAB painting (entire army) that you have to do?

Okey dokey - Normans are pretty good. I was considering doing this myself to cover the dark ages - pre med eras. I have only Macedonians, Greeks, Persians, Rep Romans and Samnites to go with and this is all classical era. I generally get pushed out of certain tournaments because the bar is set at some other era or book requirement.
I realised that Naps at 15mm is way less expensive than the 28mm but I'm used to this size that I had to go with it.

Funny you should say that as I am half Norman. My Mum was born and raised in Normandy, but she still calls herself a Norman rather than French. So probably would go for Normans myself Tony if given the choice, money, time (definately in that order).
I have the Vitrix Old Guard Grenadiers models and a load of Perry plastics. Interesting that the old guard is cut in two with the Chasseurs and the Grenadiers. However with so much and nothing painted as yet I will wait for a while before purchasing the Chasseurs.

Basing for Napoleonic troops can be a tricky question at any scale and depends on the rule set.
Some rules using different basing for the same troop type depending on if they formed lines of two ranks or three. This can mean that you have two different basing stanards for the same country depending on which year you are fighting.
Basically find a ruleset you like and use their guidelines.

Just looked at the appendix of Black Powder and they have a reference for 15mm. Check it out.
