Just a date for your diaries, the Milton Keynes Massacre will be returning for its third year on the ussual date of the first saturday in September (03-09-11).
This year we have secured a larger hall with a capacity for 60 players & it also has a bar.
More details to follow.

Fiddlesticks! As last year this is the same date as our Axes and Axis tournament - which should attract different clientelle. Ah well I would have looked forward to the Milton Keynes Massacre, but as we have the WAB and FoW tournament its a no can do from me, I'll check with those that do not WAB or FoW but who play WFB.

Thats a shame, never mind different game systems, will put the word out to our FOW as about half of them dont play fantasy, where a bit light on WAB players (mostly me at the moment) but Ill see if anyone wants to come along.
Cheers

We won't be doing the Rulespacks until June for the Axes and Axis as we are (fingers crossed) waiting for the new AoA army lists. However excellent if you could put a word in about the FoW part of the tournament - this part is very popular and usually gets filled quickly.

Glad to see this no longer clashes with axis & allies so without further waffle: Details for this years Milton Keynes Massacre, it will take place at the Yardley Gobion (Just north of MK approx 6 miles from M1 junc 15) Recreation Centre (same village new venue with a bar). The venue can accomodate 48 players with plenty of space, I have had to increase the cost of a ticket to £6 to cover costs & for this you will recieve: Free tea & coffee. 4 games of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. 1600 points per game, with two hours per game. No Lords - putting more points into the army. Fairly hard comp - as we wish to deter some of the more boring builds. I will be taking reservations & require just the following information: Player name Club or Team(if any) An email address to keep in contact Places will be reserved until midnight 31st July after which any unsold places will go to the first players to pay, the event will be advertised on a number of club forums & by an email shot but will not be posted on TWF until after 31st July (this is to allow the maximum amount of time fo club players to secure tickets.). This is on in a week - Julie and I have sent our lists in. I've gone for a really fluffy Empire list - no stank as I forgot to ask Stephen for it, and Julie has her Dark Elves. Has everybody else going done that as they are supposed to be in by tomorrow?

The first round draw should be in your email intrays as I have received mine. Funny that all the Phoenix boys have drawn High Elves and Julie has drawn dwarfs after saying how rubbish they were and she wasn't going to take hers! Justice I think!

Yeah, I did see that! Friend of mine Chris Bowbrick (3rd last year) is bringing his High Elves, and there's a lot more of them than I was expecting to see...

I won't be there tonight as I have to finish painting and basing two things for my Empire army. What is with all the High Elves? I suppose it comes down to excellent magic, the extra special and rare choices (bolt thrower batteries comes to mind) and always strikes first (every one of those HE armies will have Swordmasters in them - more for me to fry!) I wanted to play Orcs and Goblins but I haven't played with my Empire army for a bit so wanted to test them out before I get rusty with them. O&G should really do well here as hording up at this pointage with lots of different magic users to choose from is irresistable - but I resisted. Let's see if I lose my first game as tradition asks.
