Before that a massive thank you to all that came today - special thanks to Stephen May at Immortal Miniatures and Matt Sulley / Anders Johansson at Battlefront for the wonderful prizes. Your generosity was warmly welcomed.
Special Thanks to Stephen who jumped in at the last minute to help out with the WAB as Carl could not make it. He did this while running the FoW tournie downstairs.
Also thanks to Carl for "behind the scenes" work and of course to Simon Robinson who put the rules pack together for WAB.
I have the results for the WAB 2.0 competition and I dare say Stephen will add the FoW one in due time (if he hasn't already).
So best Painted army went to Paul Griffin's from Northampton Warlords amazing Thracians well done Sir! Of note Wayne Richard's Samurai came in second on the count.
As with the best Sportsman three people Simon Robinson, Wayne Richards and Paul Griffin were tied and a roll off procured a winner - Paul Griffin wins again!! Quite amusing watching the three of them promoting their sporting behaviour here with "no, no, no, sir ... after you..." before they rolled
WAB results:
Winner - Colin Harwood - Samurai - 77pts (6731 vps)
1st Runner-up - Martin Gibbins - Carthaginians - 74pts (5496 vps)
2nd Runner-up - Wayne Richards - Samurai - 67pts - (6309 vps)
Fourth - Dave Ireland - Caledonians - 64pts - (3906 vps)
Fifth - Warren Stevens - Macedonians - 60pts (4148vps)
Sixth - Paul Griffin - Thracians - 29pts - (2564vps)
Seventh - Gavin Baker* - Imperial Romans - 26pts - (2175vps)
Eighth - Robert Walker - Imperial Romans - 26pts - (1892vps)
Ninth - Simon Robinson - Vikings - 16pts - (1097vps)
Tenth - Stephen Mawson* - Carthaginians - 9pts - (436vps)
* Players retired in the last game (so played just two games).
Well played everyone! ;D ;D
