I am thinking of running a small campaign using the Trafalgar rules. The format of the campaign will very much depend on who wants to play and which nation(s) they would like to be.
Could anybody who is interested reply below letting me know
1) their name (I can never remember who's user-name is who's on here)
2) Any preferences for which nations they would like to be ( I'll try to accommodate but no promises)
the nations available are
Britain France Spain Portugal Sweden Russia USA
Cheers
Simon
PS - don't worry about not having models - for those of you who need them various cardboard options are available
Also if you have never played either join the game at Kelmarsh or let me know and I'll try to arrange a "sailing" course and small introductory game with players in the same boat (as it were)

Oooo count me in.
I've got a (needs to be assembled) British Fleet.

Put me down for the Swiss or Paraguayan fleets!
Or perhaps the French or Spanish will suffice!

Could we have pirate ships in this? I've got a number of the pirate gaming ships similar to the ones you played with last night, lots of Spanish, British and French as well as Pirates.

"Privateers" will be available to those fleets who had them as allies (which is just about everybody if I recall) but having just a Privateer fleet would probably not be possible - depending on which campaign I go with.

Another question while I'm still kicking around campaign ideas - would people prefer a strict Historical campaign (only Nations which actually fought ecah other may fight) a semi Historical Campaign (Nations may fight any other Nation regardless of History) an Ahistorical Campaign (free for all, British could fight British)

This is tempting, but not sure I'm going to have time over the next couple of months, between roleplaying, and the FoW campaign most of my time is already spoken for, which is a pity as I'd like to get involved in this.
Exactly how quickly are you looking to start?
If I play I'll play Sweden. I think I'd mildly prefer a semi historical campaign, as that gives us plenty of options on who plays who, without stepping outside the period feel with blue on blue action.

Dont mind who we fight.. blue on blue sounds like an American mistake though....
