On Saturday 15th of November 2014, the Phoenix Gaming Club of Rushden will be holding our fourth 28mm WW2 Bolt Action tournament: Operation Torch.
This is based on the Allied landings in North Africa of 8–16 November 1942
This event takes place at our usual venue: Rushden Scout HQ, (behind Orbit Tyres) off Skinners Hill, Rushden, Northamptonshire, NN10 9YE
There are 24 places in the event, 12 for Axis players, and 12 for Allied players.
Entry into the event is £15 payable by cheque, to PHOENIX GAMING CLUB or alternatively by Paypal to furry_cup@hotmail.com
Those wishing to pay by Paypal will need to add £1 to their entry to cover fees.
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, but we will happily take reserve places in case of last minute drop outs. PM myself or Carl King or leave your interest in this thread.
The Tournament will consist of 3 games:
Allied 1250 (Attacking) vs Axis 1000 (Defending)
Axis 1250 (Attacking) vs Allied 1000 (Defending)
500 point scouting game
There will be trophies / medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places (for both Axis and Allied) as well as a best painted army prize for each side, which will be based on your 1250pt force. The lowest scoring player from each faction will win a small consolation prize and there may be other prizes on the day depending on sponsorship etc
Our tournaments have proven very popular so get your name in soon!
I will post a seperate rules and FAQ/QA thread shortly.
