Well we got a bit slightly delayed in the morning and yep a few people went in a little over time on their matches so but hey it was all about fun and I guess if you didn't come you missed out. So apologies about the small delays.
Anyway a cracking tournament with lots of new faces and old ones ;D I would like to thank all of those who braved the roads and participated. Special thanks to those who helped out specifically Stephen Mawson, Craig Wilson, Darrell Lee, Julie who went on the doughnut run, Paul Redburn and those other particpants who without asking helped to clear up. Thanks to Justin Easby for the loan of a few buildings which helped to make the tables more interesting.
Well the results are attached above
Winners trophies were
Alan Thompson - WoC (Leicester Squigs) and Justin Easby Daemons (NCC)
2nd place trophies were
Mark Wildman Tomb Kings (Warhammer G A Y Style) and David Barker Daemons (Sutton Immortals)
3rd place medals were
Ian Sturgess High Elves (KGC) and Emyr Mortimer-Roberts Vampire Counts (PGC aff)
The "Its a tragedy!" awards went to
Dale Needham - Orcs & Gobs (Jancos) and Ian Davies- Skaven(NCC) who won probably the best medals I've seen for a while - even though they came last. They also get a free in next year!
Best Painted silver plate went to
Mark Wildman who scored an unassailable 35pts for his wonderful Tomb King army (that's two on the trot now - can he make it a hatrick next year?)
Worthy second best painted
for her lovely painted wood elves was Maria Weiland (OGC) scoring 23 pts a nice easter egg for you!
Notable third best painted was David Barker for his Daemons with 13 pts.
there were two other spot prizes that went out in the first two rounds - but my mind went fuzzy about who had had won the "first one to kill a hero/ lord" so congrats whoever you were!
For the "first "double one" on a break test I believe Az from Stevenage wargamers won that!
... and finally the Bloodthirster trophies went to
Justin Easby Daemons (NCC) who amassed a bloodcurdling 7895 vps for and against in all his matches.
and
Rene Hawes Skaven (NCC) who amassed an equally impressive 7518 vps
Best sports could not be done this year due to a fluff up with the frame size at the last minute. We'll make up for that next year with two to be awarded.
Well until next year..... ;D
