Well we got all the lists in bar one before midnight I believe that person may be on holiday. Ah well we shall see. The draw for the first round will be done tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled tomorrow evening!
As it stands the armies of chaos have tipped the balance with 22 of them, 18 armies of Order and 7 armies of neutrality +1 to come.

Yes but savour the fact that you are on table one - although technically there is no spoon! (Matrix)

The draws for rounds 2 and 3 have been done today, but as you know nobody will know who will partner or face who until after each preceding round. Don't bother searching for your new partner on the day - the tables are clearly indicated on the sheets, so just proceed in that direction. Both draws have been sealed in brown envelopes so cannot be tampered with. This allows me another week to forget them (goldfish memory). The computer file has been deleted off my system and put onto a memory stick and sealed in one of these so that it cannot be adjusted until the day (if needed). If on the day you find that you have already partnered one person then please find me straight away as this may have an effect on other games / partnerships. Remember that WFB rule book rules Page 137 -139 for partnerships are in effect except for Fragile Alliances (page 138) which will not be used for this tournament (happy days for Dark Elves and Skaven). Please ensure you have your WFB rule books to hand for this.
Another exception is that desperate allies can still dispel magic cast at each others units as the dispel dice are pooled. In the book it says that this is not possible but its our house rules as its a fun tourney! It is felt that no matter how you naturally hate your partnering army their numbers will help you in the end, so it is in your interests to keep them alive in this instance only.

i have done something completely out of character and read the rule set. i have a question on the rules:- • Any extra power or dispel dice generated or stored by a model by other means can only be used by that model. For example Dark Magic: the Power of Darkness spell, Dark Elf Sacrificial dagger, Vampire Counts Master of the Black Arts etc… as long as it does not exceed the 12 dice cap. Am i right in assuming that the cap exists throughout the phase but is not cumulative as for mushrooms/warpsone tokens and slanns extra dice. to better explain my point if i roll 12 use 3 dice to cast a random spell could i then use 1 die to take my total back to 12(max) with a spell such as power of darkness??? as per 8th edition rules.

Justin the answer is Yes as per 8th ed. However remember that you would have to use the Power of Darkness spell dice or take wounds as per DE rule book. Magic Mushrooms / warpstone tokens are technically not power dice as such.
On another note we are ok for all players (fingers crossed) for Saturday.

Hope everyone is ok for tomorrow! Its seems like a long wait is now coming to a head.
Remember we are trying to get a quick start so most of you should know your table numbers for round one if not look for the first round draw in this thread above. Register first with us please on entry and then make you way to the table. If we do have to start a little later then rounds may have to be cut short by five mins to 2 hrs and 15 mins rather 2 hours and 20 mins.
If any partipants wish my mobile number for any emergencies etc please PM or email me.
