Ok this sounds encouraging and "sorts the men out from the boys" doth break a smile! I will put down another two temp places for you but I really need to have those names in Justin as quick as humanly possible. Ooh and payment before the end of the month is vital for reasons explained.
Due to the nature of this doubles tournament it just struck me that those who would like to play but don't have a partner could easily be fitted with an initial partner. So if your a single playing chap or lass and want to get into some fun doubles action let me know!

Just three double places left at the moment, list updated. I will need payments by the end of this month chaps so I can order the trophies and we can pay for the Hall Hire.

hi all we need 6 slots we have 12 people coming!!! collected most of the money tonight the rest next week(i will send it all together). I will also have all the lists which i will either ask for in word doc.(email) or written(by post) by the end of the month. I wont be typing them all up... 1 question last years wooden spoon winners are split now. 1 only plays flames and the other is coming i assume he still qualifies for free entry look forward to this one the rule set has already got people scratching their heads.

Yes he does! He came in holding up the giants so indeed he has a free in - this is our custom. However this is only for him and last year's partner. This is not transferrable - and I have names . The flames guy will have to forfeit I'm afraid if he doesn't show. Great show Justin ;D- when you can for the payment. Any questions about the rule set just ask. Remember that they should be stand alone 1000pts armies that just meet a partner's stand alone 1000pts army and play together. There shouldn't be any duplicate magic items in the first pairings but this is allowed in later pairings (unavoidable). The only exception is dispel scrolls - if a later pairing has one each they may only use one. The other just dissolves in the mist of magic. Roll off to see who has the undissolvable one! Initial pairings must not be desperate allies! So forces of chaos ally with forces of chaos forces of orderally with forces of order. Suspicious allies TK and Orges can ally with anyone but must follow the suspcious rules of the BRB, even when allied with each other (eg Ogres Battle brothers). Dark elves and Skaven are not subject to the Fragile alliances in this tournament. All the army lists must be in either word doc 2003 (not docx), in the text of email or in old excel (not xlsx) or just plain rtf text eg notepad. No army builder lists for final presenation as they become difficult to read. Need all of these two weeks before the tournament guys!

Only one doubles space left now! However one of the entrants has told me that he may have double booked but can't say for sure as his partner is on a long haul holiday and won't be back until the beginning of Feb. So I will take reserves for this potential extra place and of course any drop outs along the way (although you'd be mugs to do so - think about what you'd be missing!)
@ all Phoenix guys/gals please ensure that you have your initial pairings sorted out. Please check the rulespack so that you are 100% sure about how we are doing this - simple rule "no desperate allies" initially. Could we also have all monies to Stephen on club nights (ASAP) so that we can pay for the Hall Hire.
@ Stephen - are you entering this year?
To everybody - PLease remember that we are sticking stringently to the army list hand in time. ALL ARMY LISTS MUST BE SENT IN BY MIDNIGHT 18/02/2012 TO GAIN THE 10 TOURNAMENT POINTS - this we have to be adamant about. Please send to warren.stephens@btinternet.com as an attachement in the aforementioned file types.

So its a question of trust then? Do you really think I would just show all and sundry everybody's list? - Believe me, the only person that sees all lists will be me. This is one of the reasons we said no open lists. If you remember it was going to be an open list until a significant number of individuals opposed this idea. I really would not show anybody the lists and to be honest I may not play myself if numbers go against me on the day. As people will be randomly drawn with and for partners a week before the tournament, I really want to give myself an extra week to get the lists proof read etc... I am pretty busy as a teacher and this extra time will help to ensure list errors can be rectified in good time (up until the draw). Nobody will know who their 2nd round and 3rd round partners or opponents will be until the end of each preceeding round. Round one will go up online and I will get someone impartial who has no vested interest in the game to do the round draws - my eldest daughter who thinks its all a bit too geeky will do fine ;D. So let's summarise 1) All lists in by the time indicated for tournament points 2) All lists will be checked by me W.stevens and no other. 3) Lists will not be revealed to anybody hence the "closed list" stance of this tournament. 4) If your list has an error - you will have this delicately pointed out to you via personal email and if you wish to me to change one or two things I will do so. You will be deducted 2 points from the 10 tournament pts for every error found. So please get it right please first time. 5) A late list will have 1 pt deducted for every day past the original midnight (18/02/2012). So hand it in on Sunday and you will be deducted 1 pt, hand it in on Monday and lose 2pts. I hope that's clear to everyone if not please email me or pm me.

warren, just to clarify we would never question your integrity im sure tony was just joking...tbh we are only bringing 1 win at all costs fanatasy player and without naming him he'll be easy to spot....he's the only one NOT SMILING. oh and for the record its not me. ;D we have 12 entrants i am collecting the remainder of the fee(which is very reasonable) on monday so i will pay early next week.

Heh, heh I didn't take it to heart and Tony was right to question. Just got to get the facts in to reassure people ;D
Great to have all you guys on board!! Please make sure all the lists are in by the time stated and that one of your guys doesn't have to pay as he grabbed the zombie trophy last year.

Ok guys all places have been taken now - so its sold out. Remember if you are still interested I may have another spot left but won't know till the end of the month - or sooner if I get an answer back from those that have double booked. If you wish this place I will do a first come first served for this spot and any other drop outs we may have (although I hoping that all will partake) and let you know. Payment sort sweetens the deal and if they haven't double booked I will reimburse you the £6 each. Although you may want to wait to see if any drop outs occur.

Justin mate any chance of surnames as this could become pivotal with the later draws. Two Andys (Andrew) from the same club could cause a little confusion. Hopefully people will know who's who when I place the club names after them - I suppose more for completeness than anything. Sorry to be a pain about it.
Vis a vis the deadline - totally on the same wavelength Justin - totally!
