It has come to my attention that the WAB trophy the Blood Goblet should not go to the person with the most vps. As being in the top three will most probably seal this for at least one of them and they walk away with another prize. So to encourage others in the game I have decided that the player that has accumulated the most vps for and against in his / her games will win this. Its really shows the player that had the blood bath of games for the event and may not necessarily be the top three. For instance if I finished second from bottom as most of my troops got wiped out yet I managed to grab a few vps off the opponents in the process then I would stand a good chance in winning this. I just think its fairer and everybody down the roster gets the chance of winning a little memento.

BIG NEWS! Justin Taylor of Vini Vidi Vici (who will be in the WAB tournament) has kindly sponsored the whole tournament with a big winner's prize for FoW and Prizes for all WAB places. He had noticed that I had stressed to entrants on a post over at the WAB forum that there would not be any prizes and off his own back emailed me. Not only this he has agreed to bring "as much as I can squeeze into the car" to sell on the day. Most of the products are Wargames Factory and I have requested that he brings down Saxons, Vikings etc although he may even bring down some other ancients - I do like the look of the Amazon models though which could fit in nicely as my Helnician Oracle Guard. Just go and have a look on the site as they do primarily deal with transfers and decals for all makes of shields for different sizes. www.3vwargames.co.uk/I'm eyeing up some Norman ones right now! On behalf of the Phoenix Gaming Club I would like to thank Justin Taylor at Veni Vidi Vici for volunteering to sponsor us - it is extremely generous and unexpected!

Michael Hummel has just let me know that he can't now make it down.
I'm therefore going to take him off the list.

I forgot to bring the trophies down in my mad rush to get out of the house - ah well I'll photograph them tomorrow and put them up on flickr. No matter.

I don't see it a problem if a player is restricted by not having a list from the FE book. In Late War there aren't any really uber-lists (unless you count Brit Paras!)

Nobby I can't see a problem either - its always good to see you at FoW comps even if I don't enter them. I remember seeing you up at Derby World Games last year and you seemed to enjoy that one. Stephen should be ok with the list but I'm unsure if you have both communicated with each other as yet. One list is hardly going to be a problem to check on the day.
Did I mention there was a first prize trophy for this and the winner will also get a Pantiere 80 donated by Justin Taylor at Veni Vidi Vici (who are sponsoring us). A superb prize.

Nice of you to say so mate! Just think that if it is one rule for Nobby when everyone else is Fortress Europe that would be a tad unfair. I thought it was multiple books with my offer but the rules pack says otherwise so not sure where to go from here. Lending some stuff to one of the entrants so will be involved somehow I guess!

Ah I thought I'd updated the Rules pack. That's my fault.
After the various discussions, and your offer of access to other books, we decided to allow other books. I'd only restricted on the basis that I simply didn't have access to most of the late war books.
I've already got a couple of entries from non FE lists.

Hang on - which books are allowed then?
Will be changing the submitted list in light of this, as I had an original plan which I had to drop thinking it wouldn't be allowed.
