Well done Paul - totally outclassed by magic and manouvering - I didn't have a prayer. Great tactics but I found out that I still had a 1000pts odd on the board still. Ah well!

It was an interesting game Warren, as you had a much stronger combat army I couldn't go all-out and charge up the field to attack, which probably made it a frustrating game for you.
As you said it becamme very tactical and my fortune in rolling the spells I wanted certainly helped.
I lost about 250 - 300pts from memory so I think I would have still won even with your 1,000+ pts on the table.

there's always next year for the vamps to gain revenge, depending on what edition we use etc

An enjoyable game I was lucky that the dice went hot for me when it really mattered.
Next year 8th will change everything and fortunately WE skirmish armies will be a poor choice, likely to be TK for me if the new army book is out in time.

To be honest you both had your fair share of terrible dice rolls! Paul's dryads on the ghouls was the clincher for dice rolls I thought.
