I've had three more army lists submitted to me over the weekend, so thanks Jon, Warren and Julie for that.
I'll hopefully get Warrens army checked tonight, but I'm going to need to borrow a copy of the Orc and Goblin and Dark Elf Army Books to check the other two.
It would be helpful if someone could bring a copy of each down to the club this week, as that would hopefully allow me check the lists on the night.

Since there are only 8 players in the tournament, how are you going to run this? - One league of 8
- Two leagues of four with the top 2 going through to semi's
- Straight knockout
Although the best way to determine a winner is the full league of 8, for those players who have already lost several games and have no chance it will be difficult to motivate them to play/arrange more games, so I would recommend one of the latter two options.

We've actually got 10 people. I got a couple of extra army lists on Tuesday, and I've just forgotten to update the list on this topic. I've now added Keiron and Simon onto the list.
I have one other person who hasn't submitted an army list. I've sent them an email and I'm allowing them a couple days extra grace to let get a list to me if they want to play, otherwise the number of players we have will be set.
With 10 people a knockout format is out, and getting people to organise and play 9 games each is a bit much, so it will be two divisons of 5 players, with the top two from each division going through to knockout semi's.

could i suggest that we dont have what happened last time and some players playing most of their games before others have played their second game etc. could you put a set of rules up for this sort of situation and stopping it happening as it demotivates players if they know they cant finish it the top two

I'm not going to try and regulate for how often people want to play games, as I can't see any sensible way of doing that, other than resorting to pre-arranging everyone's games into rounds and fixing the order that they're played in. Which is something I don't want to do as it usually leads to delays and frustration all round if one or two games get postponed.
If we want to keep a fairly even pace I'd suggest people look to play only one or at most two games a month. This time round we have of course got a number of people in the SFS who are also playing in the WAB campaign, which ought to make it less likely for anyone to want to or be able to play three or four games in three or four weeks.

i just thought maybe you cant play more than two matches before everyone else in your own league had played at least one,or in other words, you cant be more than two game ahead of everyone else.

Hi Steve - At the bowling you suggested you had 11 players. I'll make it an even 12 if you have and will PM an army list in the next few mins. If you have even numbers happy to sit out.

I have even numbers as it happens, although if you want to play I'm fine with that.

Steve - If you have even numbers then leave me out. I see we have some new 40k players so I will be able to fill my time that way.

James I won't hear of it - bring your dwarfs as I need something to chase after and run down.

I've now checked all three of the Dark Elf Armies.
Simon's is fine, but there are problems with both Keiron's and Julies army lists.
Julie's army comes to 2007 points. Keiron's army contains a magic item (Blade of Spite) which isn't in the army book.
Both armies will need correcting. Could I have you revised armies at some point over the Christmas holiday, thanks.

Stephen, Kieron's magic item should read "Blade of spit", it IS allowed but is only effective against flaming attacks and "gob"lins.
