I think things are pretty much now falling into place.
The teams look like they are going to be as follows:
Imperials: Darrell (Dark Angels) Brandon (Angels of Redemption) Ben (Mix of Imperial Forces) Carl (Space Marines)
Aliens: Me (Orks) Liam (Daemons) Robert (Orks) Will (Necrons)
I have room for one more player on each side. Daiv and Dave Wilkin have both expressed interest but haven't confirmed as yet. I will try and sort that out this week.
I'm not sure creating sub-forum's for each team is really worth it as Ben, Brandon and Will aren't members of the Forum.
I'm not requiring people to submit army lists to me in advance as such. However I will at some point either before the game, or during it want to briefly see a list from each player to ensure that everyone is within the 3,000 point limit.

The general Background to the game is a follows:
The Imperial Shrine world of Sigella Magna is the focus of many pilgrims throughout the sub-sector. As the place that St Iona Steelhand defeated the Daemon Mulcarious Slimerot and where his host assembled before setting out on his great crusade, the world has a great many temples to the Emperor and is home to the Sisters of Steel a small order dedicated to the memory of St Iona.
Now the planet has been invaded by the Orks, the Sisters of Steel and the other defenders of Sigella Magna are putting up a brave fight but the Orks numbers are overwhelming. Despite their efforts a number of shrines have already been looted and burned by the Orks. Thus the astropathic choir of Sigella Magna has called for assistance and a number of Space Marine chapters and other Imperial forces in the area have responded.
These reinforcements have made planet fall near the basilica of St Iona, as the Orks advance on this the holiest place on Sigella Magna. The Basilica must be defended at all costs, and if the Orks main attack can be broken here then the remaining smaller groups of the greenskins can be eliminated and the planet cleared of the enemy.

The way I'm looking at the game working, in terms of victory conditions is as follows:
Each side, and each player will have some objectives they either that side, or that player needs to achieve during the game. At the end of each turn if you have satisfied the conditions of that objective during that turn you get the points for that objective. For some objectives failing to achieve it will loose you points.
I’m going to bring a white board down with me and keep track of each players points at the end of each turn. The players who finish in the top half in terms of victory points will have achieved victory for their army. If a side has more winning players than the other side then that side has won over all.
Some of the objectives will be public knowledge, i.e that all players will know what they are and how they work. As this game is essentially an Ork invasion of an Imperial Planet there will be some basic objectives for the Imperial Players as a whole, plus some basic objectives that cover the Alien/Daemon armies also.
Each player will also have a private objective of some sort, possibly two depending on how balanced the objectives look once I’ve finished working them out. These objectives will be known to the player in question, and their team mates only, the enemy will not know your private objectives.
This will require a small amount of additional work for the team captain on each side, in order to help keep track of whether the players on their own side have achieved their objectives or not, without revealing to the enemy what those objectives are.
The way I’m looking at the team objectives working is that the points that are gained as team, need to be divided up as evenly as possible between the various players on that team. If the points don’t divide evenly between the players, the team has to decide who gets them.
So people can see roughly what I mean, the public objectives for both sides are likely to be as follows:
Imperial Objectives Defend the Basilica of St Iona. The Basilica must remain in Imperial Hands. If at least one Imperial Unit is holding the Basilica and there are no enemy units within 6” gain two objective points. If there are enemy units within the Basilica and no Imperial units contesting it the Imperial Forces lose 1 Objective Point.
Defend the city. If more buildings are in Imperial Hands than in Alien hands gain an Objective Point.
Alien Objectives: Loot, Burn and destroy For each building you capture within the city gain an Objective Point.
Smash da ‘Umies/Break the enemies will to resist For each enemy force that has at least half of its units destroyed gain an Objective Point.
I’m still sorting out the secret objectives, I’m hoping to have this done by Tuesday, so I can start going through the possible objectives with people.
But how I’m intending this to work is that for the Imperials at least I’m going to provide a number of Objectives, probably more than will be needed, which each Imperial player will get one of determined randomly. This is so that even if I know what the possible objectives are, I won’t know which specific objective each player has, or even which ones are even being used.
Given the variety of armies on the Alien side I’m going to work out more specific army related objectives, although I may create more than is needed to give the game a bit more variety.

Steve
I intend to come to make up numbers, if necessary, which I can do on either side.
My intentions are Orks, or Grey Knight/Space Marine, for which I may have the required points,
Let me know if you would like someone to make up the numbers, I will also keep an eye on the forum.

Dave Wilkin confirmed last night that he will be coming.
Daiv, that means to keep things nice and balanced you'll need to be a Greenskin for the day if that's alright.
I think 5 per side is probably enough if we want to actually get the game done in a decent amount of time. If anyone else wants to take part, be prepared to convince me that you need to do so.
The teams therefore are as follows:
Defenders of Sigella Magna: Darrell - Dark Angels Brandon - Angels of Redemption (Dark Angel Sucessor Chapter) Carl - Space Marines Ben - Inquisitorial Retinue Dave Wilkin - Imperial Guard
Alien Invasion Stephen - Orks Robert - Orks Daiv - Orks Liam - Daemons Will - Necrons

We've had one additional Imperial Player added to the mix, Edmund. Mainly on the grounds that it's likely that neither Darrell nor Brandon will be fielding a full 3,000 points.
I've also now sorted out all the Objectives for both sides.
Each player will be getting two private objectives, these represent your own forces personal objectvies, or specific orders that have been given to you.
These will be drawn for each player at random before both sides start setting up, and are supposed to be secret, so when you've got yours please do not reveal to anyone what they are.
I would like to get as many people as possibles Apocalypse Statagem selected before next Saturday, so that we can get started as quickly as possible. To that end Liam could you please bring your Apocalypse and Reload books down to the club on Tuesday and I will then go through with all of the players that are present what they'd like to use.

I've also now sorted out all the Objectives for both sides. Does this mean that you no longer need me to email you ideas, as we discussed on Tuesday? To that end Liam could you please bring your Apocalypse and Reload books down to the club on Tuesday and I will then go through with all of the players that are present what they'd like to use. That's not a problem at all; I'll bring them along.

No that's ok, the suggestions you made on Tuesday got my brain going and I've managed to come up with as many as I need now.
