this all day club meeting has been put aside to play test the kelmarsh tables.
it would be appreciated if ALL those who are coming to kelmarsh attend at least part of this all dayer so we can finalise who is starting where and learn the scenarios and any rules that have been specially written for kelmarsh.
that said, all models should be painted and based, even if small items of scenery are not as i am hoping to get local press along.
also, if no-one has any objections i would like to invite the bedford guys along.
Warren and James; do you think you could put up a flyer at your respective schools inviting people along as we could do with properly play testing the games like this.
any other thoughts gratefully received.
dont forget the meeting this week re kelmarsh

This has not been put down on the calendar here for that date. I can see the 27th of June but has that been changed now? If so you will need to get Steve to amend the web forum calendar here to save confusion.

the cards are now done for kelmarsh entry and will be given out on the 4th july all dayer, along with the t-shirts.
as long as they have arrived i will also give out the complimentary family passes, but PLEASE only ask for one if it is definately going to be used by members of your family.
as i have said, these are limited and we have several to give to those companies who have donated armies and scenery etc to the club.
thanks

I have a lot of basing to do - 1 or 2 units to complete (they are undercoated), plus finishing touches to terrain - oh we are iffing and arring about the chariot.
Liam, have you done the Rhino / rhinox - just a timely reminder in case it may have slipped your mind with your euphoric degree passing week - well done on that again!
Incidentally for next year I have already spotted the box of Zulus at Caliver books - £15.99 not bad for 30 of them!! I will probably have to get about 5 boxes to start. However, caliver books are offering free postage on all miniatures costing £16.00+ - see the way they tempt you to get another box (very drole).

Hey guys, I hope things went well today. Sorry I couldn't make it as I had a terrible migraine when I woke up and am still suffering a bit from it right now. I've spent most of the day in bed as a result of it. I did text Warren this morning to let him know but I guess it didn't get through.

Got the text Liam - no worries. We play tested the game and to be honest - the rhino would have looked a little silly for the historians. It wouldn't have got in to do much - check out the new pics on club site at flickr.com for the the layout and you will see why.

Yes Carl, The FoW game seems to be running quickly, paired down to the core rules and is fast and furious. Should appeal to lots of people as a spectator/ participation game. Thanks to all the input from the FoW boys ;D
