Hi Phoenix Gaming Club.
I've recently moved to the Wellingborough / Rushden area and I'm looking at getting back into the wargames I used to play as a young'un.
The re-imagining of Necromunda has piqued my interest, as it was the first game I got into 20 odd years ago.
As such, are there any of you playing Necromunda at the club currently? Would any one be interested in playing some Skirmish games with a view to setting a campaign going? If there's nothing currently going I can look to arbitrate a nice fluffy campaign some point in the future when we have a decent number of players.
I would like to pop down on a Tuesday (not sure when, I have a newborn which demands a fair amount of my time!) to say hello and check the club out, and would be great to get a game in then.
Looking forward to your replies,
Lewis L.

Hi Lewis My name is Pete and I'm a committee member of the club. Welcome aboard. I'm not sure if anyone has gotten into Necromunda at the club yet, but there are certainly a lot of people who play a wide variety of games so its certainly a possibility. There are certainly other skirmish games of that kind of that ilk that are popular here such as Frostgrave and Burrows and Badgers. We've got a Facebook page which you can join m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=6934331021&ref=content_filterfeel free to post on there as well as not everyone uses the forum. I'm down most Tuesdays, so if you want a quick introduction to the club I'm the bald, skinny, angry looking Scottish chap, feel free to come and talk. Look forward to seeing you at the club Pete

Hi Pete
Thanks for the welcome. I'll have to admit my experience with miniature games doesn't extend much past the GW range. I've just bought the Burrows and Badgers hardback book (which looks lovely, might I add) so I'll have a read through that when it arrives, and aim to come to the club when I can. I'll see if I can seek you out and introduce myself.
Regards, Lewis.

Well then welcome to the wider world of wargaming! Theres all sorts of mad games played down the club, I'm sure youll find something to enjoy. That's a great choice with the Burrows and Badgers book. We've got our first tournament for that (first anywhere I believe) on the 30th of June (which is currently sold out!). Theres quite a few guys play that down the club, including myself and the miniatures for it are really quite excellent.
