Chris, a friend of mine who plays in the Pathfinder game I run over at the Gladiators is organising several Pathfinder Society games on Sunday the 9th of August, over at the North End Working Men's club over in Bedford, which is where the Gladiators meet.
If you've never played a Pathfinder Society game before is basically Pathfinder, but set up as short episodic scenarios (about 4 hours per scenario) that are designed to allow you to play the same character from scenario to scenario, even if you are playing with different groups of players or GM's.
You can find more details about Pathfinder Society here: paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/about
A free guide to playing in PFS and how to create a character is available here: paizo.com/products/btpy84k4
We're currently looking at running two sessions. Session One (12noon till 4:30pm) - Session Two (4:45pm till 9pm), although depending on the number of players we are likely to have multiple games running per session. I'll be running at least one Scenario, maybe two depending on how many people we get.
The thread on the Gladiators forum for this is here: bedfordgladiators.proboards.com/thread/1900/pathfinder-sunday-9th-august?page=1&scrollTo=11488
If people want to sign up for this you can do so there, or alternatively post here or let me know directly and I'll update the attendance details on their forum.
New players are welcome, it doesn't matter if you haven't played Pathfinder Society, or Pathfinder or even haven't roleplayed before. Pre-gen characters will be available if people don't want to create their own characters, and I'm happy to go through character creation and the differences with normal Pathfinder with anyone at the Phoenix club if they want me to.
