Battle of the West Village; Pete vs Ryan. Draw, 8-7
Battle of the East Village; Neil vs Jon. Axis victory, 25-3
My game against Ryan was a close run affair. I honestly thought Ryan was going to whomp me initially, then I thought I might swing a victory, then I thought he was going to whomp me, then I thought it would be a draw, then I thought if I take a risk I might swing a victory, then it was a draw. Great game.
Jon. If you find a shop selling luck, buy some.
Axis now lead by 82 vps and 8 wins to 4. Ryan and Neil both move up to 2nd place in their respective sides. Jon remains bottom but has only actually lost 3 more vps than leader Jack has.
In terms of game adjusted scores, Jon has lost 24 points worth of units per game and Jack only 17.25. Leader who tries to get his troops killed the least is...me. With only 6.75 points worth of troops lost per game. Biggest killer on the battlefield at the moment is perhaps unsurprisngly Dave, with an average of 19.5 points of units killed per game. Jon is again at the bottom Im afraid with only 6.6 points scored on average per game.
In terms of points scored for and against per game, Neil is in the lead with 2.06 points scored for every point he loses. Guess who is at the bottom. Yes its Jon again, who only scores 0.275 of a point for every point he loses.

I only just realised my name was up there - are you sure this is me and not someone else newly arrived? Strange as I don't recall actually putting my name forward and I don't have an army having only borrowed Carl's for a few sessions and tournaments. So please go right ahead and take my place... if it's me that is being referred to up there.

Yes but not as handsome I suspect Its probably better to stick a surname on this super forenamed person, so that I don't get too personally attached and monopolise my first name - God forbid.

The Battle of No Mercy: Jack vs Warren, Allied victory 28-7.
The Battle of the Disqualification: Dave vs Carl, Axis victory 23-10.
Both top players win their games to retain the top step. Only Warren can now beat Dave for the top Axis slot, and only if he wins five in a row and Dave loses his last game AND Warren scores more VP overall. Second place still very much up for grabs and anyones to play for.
The top Allied place, though Jack remains in the lead, can still be won by any one of the 6 players. Even if Jon gets another loss, 2 big VP wins could potentially see him sneak the top spot.
Axis lead in TPs by 42 to 34 and 9 wins to 5. VP difference closes up slightly with the Axis leading by 81.

Tables updated
The Battle of <insert witty title>: Warren vs Henry. Axis victory, 18 to 9
The Battle of the Carl's Non-stop 6 Train: Carl vs Graham. Allied Victory, 15 to 9
Warren climbs one place to 5th leaving Graham to slip down to last place. Carl climbs up into second. Still all to play for on the allied side with the top 2 spots able to be taken by anyone. Only Warren can knock Dave off the top spot but second place is up for grabs by anyone with 2/3rds of the games now gone.
Wtih 1 win apiece the Axis still lead 10 wins to 6 and the vp difference has gone up slightly to 84 in the Axis' favour. Only 1 allied player has a positive vp difference at this point with Ryan on 7.

The Battle of Jon's Doppleganger; Pete vs Jon. Axis victory 11-2
The score does not reflect how close this game was. My squads were all heavily degraded, and despite only losing my officer I was very close to losing 2 x 7 man squads (2 men left in each), 1 squad spent most of the game with 5 pins on them due to the arty strike mullering them (rallied turn 5) and were down to 5 men, my 5 man FJ squad had lost a man and my SdKfz 7/1 was immobilised. If Jon had finished off those two squads it would have been 11-8 and a draw. Great game, all Jon's turns 1 and 2, anybody's turn 3 and 4 and then all mine turns 5 and 6.
Axis extend their lead 11 wins to 6 and by 93 vps.
Jon stays at the bottom, I move up to 2nd. Still all to play for on both sides, anyone on the Axis team can come 2nd and on the Allied side only Jon is out of the running. 14 games in total remain.

The Battle of Everybodys Dead Dave: Carl vs Warren. Draw 17-17
The Battle of Jon's Demise: Graham vs Jon, Axis victory 30-0
Carl's draw moves him up to 1st place but with the exception of Jon he can still be overtaken by anyone. Jon moves up a place but sadly even if Michael loses his last 3 games Jon is tail end charlie.
Warren stays in 5th place but is starting to gain traction, Graham moves up to 4th. With Warren's draw he can't catch Dave anymore so regardless of his final result Dave is the Axis leage winner and goes on to the semi final. Still all to play for with 2nd place available to anyone. I'm in 2nd at the moment but I can be overtaken by the other 4 players.
Axis extend their lead, 12 wins to 6 and in the lead by 123 VPs.
FAO; HENRY AND GRAEME: I am told that you guys had an early league game which Graeme won but you both neglected to tell me. If anyone can confirm this result please let me know ASAP.
FAO; ALL PLAYERS: We have decided that in the event of a semi-final or final draw, the winner will be decided by the total number of points that the opposing players have destroyed of each others armies: ie if one pleyr has destroyed 550 points and the other 500 points, the player on 550 points is the winner.
There are just 12 (or maybe 11...) games left to play in total, not including the semis and final. So if you could all start arranging your last few games and we can knock this on the head and start something new this year.
