Looks like we have some players from the Phoenix to do the Amalgamation WFB games with Kettering. We will be practicing one or two of the Rumble scenarios for this.
We have the following: 1) Chris Smith 2) Joe Reynolds 3) Craig Wilson 4) Ethan Tai 5) Julie Stevens 6) Warren Stevens
If any of you cannot make Warkton Hall on Sat. the 24th January please let me know as soon as you can.
I will post up what we will be doing exactly soon but safe to say that each of you will be paired up with a Kettering player. Names in the hat job on the day. I will place two hats (caps): Kettering one and a Phoenix one with 1-6 in each. Those that match up will pair up. So if Craig gets a 6 then say Alex from Kettering gets the same then they both pair up with each other. You must bring a few pound coins with you for the meter to get the heating on and for the kettle to make a few brews. Usually its about £3 for the day (excluding the meter feed). If its any more then I'm sure Paul Tysoe will tell us.

Ok its just over a week away. Sorry for not much contact as I have been pretty busy at the school and with the organisation of the Rumble (plus life stuff).
So we have got 5-6 players that are ready to have some fun to strengthen the ties between our clubs for this at Warkton Hall Warkton Near Kettering.
For the day its pretty simple. I really would like to practice one of the Rumble games and this would be a perfect opportunity to iron out any rules checks and mechanics of the scenario. We have tested out games 1 and 3 - so I would like to have a look at game 2 the Wizarding Hat Shenanigans. It would be a good idea if you brought a copy on the scenario pack as the Lore of the Sky Titans is on it. You will need this.
Judging by the laid back affair last year I believe we should just play two games with a nice hour lunch intersecting them. Hence the first game will be just a normal battleline with your mercenary giants and after lunch we will play the Rumble scenario. We will again play as before one Kettering and one Phoenix player in each doubles team. Its a 1000pts each with the mercenary giant, max 2 warmachines in each stand alone 1000pts (inc, Hell Cannon and Steam Tank), you must have at least 3 units (not including characters). We are using the 8.5 rules so Lore of Undeath can be used if you have the right models (WYSWIG for undead), 50% Lords and Heroes and everything else as it was - Core - 25%, Special 50% and Rare 25%.
So the plan 09.00 - turn up and register - help sort the tables and scenery. 09.30 - 12.30 Game 1 Battle line (this allows a laid back 15 mins break when you need it - cuppa tea?) 12.30- 1.30 Lunch 1.30 - 4.30 Game 2 Rushden Rumble Scenario 2 Wizarding Hat Shenaningans (again incorporating a 15 mins break when you need it) 4.30 - tidy up etc clear tables
Not really bothered about winners and losers here - the idea is just have a easy day gaming with some great guys! Remember that it is £3 (unless Paul says otherwise) and please bring at least an extra pound coin to put into the meter to keep the heaters burning and the kettle boiling. If everybody is ok about this please let me know. cheers Warren

Hi folks a bit of bad news Paul Tysoe has just told me that they have an evening function at Warkton Hall on the Sat 24th and they have the caterers in all day to prepare. So we have been asked to choose another day. They have apologised and have given two dates any given Sunday - so we could do this on the 25th JAn (the day after) or the 31st the Saturday after. This has put a spanner in the works and Paul has also apologised about the late notice. Let me know which you can do. Its up to you guys here at the Phoenix what day you would like - can we all make the Saturday after on the 31st? Again sorry about the situation it's a bit out of my hands. Let me know as soon as you can and I will try and get replies from Kettering guys by tomorrow.

Paul has booked the Hall for the 31st January now regardless and there are still plenty of people showing up. Of the people that will show up we will just throw everyone's name into a hat and carry on as we would have. As long as we get the right even numbers things should be tickety boo.
